04:10:51 ER: I had a cool happy dream about playing doki doki litarature club followed by a terrible nightmare about a family member trying to get me to enter a church
04:11:06 ER: I am for sure a well adjusted adult
04:11:26 syv: ...That's a bit backwards.
04:12:01 syv: "I had a happy dream about playing a horror game, and then a nightmare about family bringing me to a mundane place that people mostly like"
04:12:13 ER: I cannot step on hallowed ground
04:12:21 syv: Bad experiences with church?
04:13:53 ER: not really, I have a bad impression of being made to go to church things
04:14:18 ER: mostly it was the betrayal of saying that I don't want to go and the person trying to force me
04:17:23 syv: What was the DDLC dream about?
04:17:50 ER: dreamed about doing the true route for that game which I've never done.
04:18:09 ER: and I probably never should because a game's ending cannot compete with my dreams.
04:20:58 syv: What is the true route...?
04:22:06 ER: abuse saveloading to play through three times for each girl rather than keep playing past the point where death
04:22:20 ER: something happens, apparently
04:22:45 ER: something also apparently happens if you delet monika from the geam start
04:23:01 syv: Ahh, yeah. Basically Sayori thanks you for spending time with everyone, and then kills herself rather than go crazy. Or something.
04:23:13 syv: What happened in your dream?
04:23:49 ER: don't quite recall. was talking to monika while doing the stuff for that route
04:30:47 Devastator: does look like a pretty cake mission.
04:31:11 Devastator: is it just me and egan's chars who have to worry about pain?
04:32:29 ER: wil's organic, if a bit demigodly
04:32:41 Devastator: ghost boy doesn't count.
04:34:51 Devastator: also, you guys want to finish Trence foit in a bit?
04:34:57 Devastator: need a bit of time to get relaxed first.
04:39:35 syv: Wil isn't as godly as he brags about, btw.
04:40:05 syv: I he's more or less lied about his powers.
04:40:28 syv: Not deliberately, more he just doesn't understand them or their limits.
04:40:29 Devastator: lemme know that after the team wins the mission in three turns. ;-p
04:40:43 Devastator: (I suspect this is something internal and hidden.)
04:40:55 Devastator: (ie, some kind of coup or plot or something, if it isn't just filler.)
04:41:47 syv has quit [Remote host closed the connection]
04:44:55 Devastator: maybe that was a bit too cold.
04:44:58 syv has joined #einsteinianroulette
04:45:09 Devastator: phew. Was worried I'd been a bit too cold.
04:45:39 syv: Nah, I'm not that thin skinned
04:45:45 syv: Also, I'm very used to you :v
04:46:17 Devastator: yeah. Still, trying to think of ways to contribute in case I get locked out by
paris's char.
04:48:01 syv: On the upside, if
Paris returns,6
04:48:14 syv: I'll have less reason to not update PS
04:49:00 Devastator: I hate mixing up their two names.
04:53:00 ER: so does wil have painkillers
04:54:16 syv: He has lots of ways to kill
04:54:28 Devastator: I got a medkit but I don't think that's a source of painkillers.
04:54:35 Devastator: although it might be able to cure painwounds.
04:58:38 Devastator: three charges to do medicine.
04:59:00 Devastator: not three charges of painkillers. Should be able to cure wounds but not prevent them.
04:59:04 syv: Why wouldn't treating pain be doing medicine?
04:59:21 Devastator: treating pain, yeah. Providing buffs, no.
04:59:39 syv: Well those are different things
05:00:07 syv: ...I wouldn't be surprised if Dubs let you do that, still.
05:00:09 ER: just do a medicene to give me a painkiller for later
05:00:25 syv: I imagine you could make some kinda buff with the toolkit, for instance.
05:00:37 Devastator: Yeah, that might work.
05:05:47 Devastator: Rolla reverses her trident for the next parry.. this time, she catches the dragon's claw in the chain, wrapping it in a loop and restricting its movement. The dragon wobbles a bit, balancing somewhat uncertainly on three legs.
05:06:48 Devastator: Xin continues his anger-fueled futility, aiming a strike on the would-be open side. He misjudges it, and ends up just short, the tip of his greatsword missing the monster by about six inches.
05:08:42 Devastator: Trence weighs his options.. the proper armoured knight seems far more effective than the Clown Zombie, or whoever that is, so he picks up his chain-wrapped hand and tugs on it.. seeing that it's attached to Rolla's weapon, he grins.

05:10:34 Devastator: Tossing the trident up as she goes down, Rolla manages to dodge the bite attack, and comes up unscathed! Good thing too, that attack looked nasty.
05:11:38 syv: You may have skipped a line there, about what Trence tried to do.
05:12:21 syv: Anyways, attack. Aiming to sever the tail with a big overhead smash. Put away the parrying dagger, to twohand the greatsword.
05:13:02 ER: that's not allowed with the farron greatsword
sy, holding the dagger IS the 2hand ;p
05:13:37 ER: Climb up onto the lizard and ride it.

05:17:50 syv: If I want to twohand my sword, I will
05:18:08 Devastator: Xin reaches out for a heavy blow, aiming at the lizards tail! Maybe if it's severed, it will become some kind of weapon!
05:18:52 Devastator: Xin discovers that the tail already is a weapon, and it catches the sword strike harmlessly between two spikes!

05:23:33 Devastator: Rolla reaches up, trident in her left hand, and leaps atop Trence, managing to keep the chain free of further entanglements. She then grabs onto the giant lizard's back, landing atop a chain of heavy, knobby vertebrae.
05:24:50 Devastator: This is a surprise to the kid, who doesn't know what to do, and panicks. Roll over! comes to mind, and he swings himself rightwards, trying to tumble, maybe even landing atop the knight.
05:25:26 Devastator: ..it doesn't quite work. He hits the wall, fails to break it, and the chain begins wrapping around his neck. For a moment, he's upside down, feet waving in the air, and Rolla has a clear shot at his belly scales and neck.
05:27:42 Devastator: ..only to barely draw blood. Every part of the monster is armoured, even the more vunlerable bits, and without momentum, she causes no more than a faint scratch, producing a tiny amount of blackish-red blood.
05:28:43 Devastator: In a trice, Trence reverses course and rights himself, but remains encumbered with Rolla, and a trident chain around his right claw.

05:33:32 ER: last time I rode something it ended badly for the thing I was riding :)
05:34:46 Devastator: The dragon tries to knock Rolla off with his tail this time, but she's once again too quick for the dragon, blocking easily once more. A few leaping bucks are then attempted, but Rolla hangs on like a champion. Far above them, the sky begins swirling with dark clouds; thunder is heard in the distance.

05:43:21 Devastator: Wether it's through additional leverage, extra luck, or just a bit of utter annoyance at the indestructability of this freaking metal-scaled monster, this time Rolla does not fail, slamming her trident deep into the creature's back. A roar of sheer pain is earned.

05:47:29 Devastator: The clouds swirl more swiftly, and three bolts of lightning leap from them, aiming towards the three fighters. The dragon, with it's handy lightning rod, is not spared, and takes a nasty shock. Rolla, in her platemail is scorched and somewhat frazzled. Only Xin, discarding his clown shoes for the moment, dodges.
05:48:10 Devastator: They begin to disperse, since the cause has vanished.

05:51:36 Devastator: Once more, the lizard leaps out for a quick bite attack, but this time Rolla simply dances away, untouched.
05:54:21 Devastator: (I don't have rules for that, hmm.)
05:54:43 Devastator: (+2 to parry rolls and you get to counterattack on any parry, not just attacking ones? That sound good?)
05:55:25 ER: I more mean take hits for my partner, not make myself a *less* appealing target.
05:55:57 Devastator: Yeah, I think I can let you do that, no problem.
05:56:03 Devastator: no attack, but you take all the hits.
06:02:02 Devastator: maybe clouds got him.
06:05:00 syv: Nope. Started to drift off
06:05:20 Devastator: ahh, well, can contnue later.

06:07:34 Devastator: ..only to be matched by an equally proficient example of such, as the monster blocks blows, takes glancing hits, and otherwise adamantly defends itself.
06:08:48 Devastator: Still, just as it reaches a climax, Trence rears back and his mouth begins to glow green..
06:09:28 GameServ:

06:10:55 Devastator: This time Rolla jumps in front, taking the jello-beam for the Eternal Xin.
06:13:01 Devastator: She is burned away as if by fire or acid, despite the thick armour. She toughs it out.
06:13:46 Devastator: ..after the beam, however, the great creature is gone. Where it was, stands the chainmail-clad kid, with sword and green tabard. He seems sweaty and his grip is a bit tense.
06:15:02 Devastator: ..didn't she leave it in the creature somehow?
06:15:09 Devastator: ..nevertheless, she has it once more.
06:15:17 syv: "Rolla! Your armor! Stay back, don't let it press you farther"
06:15:41 syv: *TACKLE* the damn monster! Pin him down, and slash his neck with the dagger!
06:15:43 ER: "Just a kid." Rolla growls.
06:17:36 Devastator: "No way, this is just getting good!"
06:17:58 Devastator: You see the kid take up a stance of some kind.
06:18:45 ER: Engage Trence in honorable knight combat.
06:19:02 Devastator: oh, that's interesting!
06:19:39 Devastator: (Any suggestions on what that is, or do you want me to make it up?)
06:22:19 Devastator: aight. Besides, you should win this at this point. Trence is at -1 on the wound checks and you'd beat him up.
06:22:25 Devastator: I'll just roll to see who wins the passage of arms.
06:23:58 Devastator: The two of you slowly approach on foot, sizing each other up for the last time. The kid is small, so Rolla should have a considerable reach advantage. But he's strong, and that sword is very nice, so it might be an even fight..
06:25:50 Devastator: Twenty feet.. then fifteen feet.. and it's almost time, as you take the last critical step..
06:26:17 Devastator: Rolla stretches out and leaps, aiming for the kid with a diving stab, wagering the battle on one last blow..
06:27:10 Devastator: ..and she misses, hitting the dirt road and falling flat on her face. She turns behind herself, and sees the kid lying there, sword outstretched. It seems both of them tried for a leap and missed horribly.
06:27:15 Devastator: ..there's no sense in fighting after that.
06:28:41 ER: "bah. you should have had me there, kid."
06:59:12 Devastator: just don't challenge him to a drinking contest next. ;-p
06:59:33 ER: he can try Sophia on that one
07:01:43 Devastator: I think Trence would still win that.
07:02:08 ER: I don't remember how it works for sophia
07:02:18 ER: lich vs poison element might tie
07:02:42 Devastator: yeah but then tiebreaker would be 'who can drink more plain water.'
07:05:45 Devastator: which could still go either way. I think Trence is bigger, but Sophia might be immune to even that kind of detrimental effect.
07:06:53 ER: (wonder how much IM can drink)
07:08:31 Devastator: Yeah, I mean.. if IM can defeat fullness, to the point where Sophia can basically hold all the water, she wins. If it can only defeat drunkenness and the water needs to be somewhere, Trence probably wins.
07:10:12 Devastator: IM is the monster body.
07:10:24 Devastator: That could take Trence in a drinking contest, any day of the week.
07:10:51 ER: probably need to be really desperate for a drink to get IM to participate properly
07:11:24 Devastator: I wouldn't bet on IM against a JRPG protagonist.
07:11:39 Devastator: it's kinda the special matchup for them.
07:11:59 ER: more like That One Boss You Have To Grind For
07:38:36 ER: I think I'll try to stay awake until morning
08:19:56 ER: or tell me things to write?
08:22:10 syv: Collaborative writing, maybe?
08:24:24 Devastator: even if not currently bird.
08:26:35 Devastator: eh, eat enough birds, learn to make bodies.. it could happen.
08:30:55 Devastator: trying to entertain fae.
08:31:01 Devastator: then maybe get boon.
08:34:22 Devastator: job could be good too.
