ERLOG 2020-09-04

The below can be used to save the settings to a file or load them from a file. Useful if you want to transfer the settings between devices or feel better editing the settings by hand. Settings are stored as a cookie in your browser.
The below is a unique name for your settings. If you update your settings on one device, all other devices with the same name should be updated. This is done by checking if the stored cookie has an update date later than your current cookie. If you change the name, then the update date will be set to 0 so that an attempt will be made to load the latest data from the database.
Cookie last updated: 2025-04-06 04:31:27
Pushing the button below will register your browser and cookie ID so that you will receive push notifications. This happens automatically when loading the page, it is merely left here as a debug tool.
The below can be used to set an offset in minutes to alter the displayed timestamp. So, for example, someone in CST (which is UTC-6) will use an offset of -6*60=-360. Autodetect should find your offset automatically using javascript.
Check the below if you want the logs to attempt to render links in a pretty manner
The below can be used to set a colour for each user's name, overriding the automatically generated colours. Saved colours are displayed in order of priority. Notify allows you to receive push notifications for replies mentioning that name.

01:11:59 Devastator: No, water behavior is the same as post-release versions. I do remember that infinite water from website minecraft, though. That was something.
01:14:54 ER: oh yeah, you mean the infinite flow from "source" blocks. It's been like that since forever and not changed
01:15:21 ER: I'm not sure if that system makes more sense than unlimited proliferation
01:28:52 Devastator: Encounter Start!
01:29:33 ER: oh?
01:29:38 ER: haven't read in a bit
01:30:46 Devastator: it's fine, updates have been coming.
01:32:01 Devastator: there's been enough orders.
01:42:02 ER: boop
01:46:18 ER: kinda updated denature today! yayyyyy

02:21:34 er: Gonna have a dreaming paaaarty
02:25:10 er: There is a HOLE in my bedsheets
02:25:44 er: And it grows stronger each time I accidentally kick it
02:31:12 er: Hmm
02:31:38 er: Idea for a monster in a videogame, maybe
02:33:11 er: Looks like a human form wrapped up in black plastic, but after some time one of two parts of it manage to break free of the covering and are revealed to different things altogether
02:34:07 Devastator: thanks for telling me about tt.
02:34:08 er: Which maybe don't even suggest that they should have been effective acting like human limbs, but they were
02:34:25 er: tt is great
02:36:07 er: But yeah, the gameplay twist is that every enemy type comes from that one thing so they all look the same to start with, and exactly what you're fighting is random, even.
02:37:47 Devastator: so you're fighting the men in black?
02:41:11 er: Nah, things which an external force has forced into the shape of humans
02:41:33 er: Which the things are not too happy about

04:13:27 syv: "I should go to sleep."
04:13:31 syv: *leaves*
04:15:27 syv: Have I mentioned how much I hate the new Firefox mobile, today?
04:15:36 syv: 'Cause I do.

04:20:07 Devastator: Heya syv.
04:20:09 Devastator: and yes.
04:20:13 Devastator: Game Seven!
04:20:18 Devastator: 4-0
04:20:38 syv: Heya dev.
04:21:00 syv: Canucks loss?
04:21:03 Devastator: Got outplayed, but not badly. And won 4-0
04:21:06 Devastator: No, they won.
04:21:06 syv: Oh
04:21:14 Devastator: Means it goes to game 7, winner take all.
04:21:21 syv: Jeez, nice.
04:21:35 syv: They got outplayed, and still won 4-0?
04:22:23 Devastator: Power of the hot goalie, and their defense has been.. pretty good. Lots of blocked shots, lots of clearing, lots of picking up rebounds.. probably only two significant mistakes.
04:22:32 Devastator: and the backup goalie is still doing amazing.
04:23:15 syv: Better than the main one?
04:23:28 Devastator: The main one was also doing very well, and then got hurt.
04:23:35 syv: Is the goalie the most important role? It's starting to sound like it is.
04:23:39 Devastator: but yes, better than the main one. Still, need to credit the defense too.
04:23:45 syv: Damn, wow.
04:23:58 Devastator: And yes, you get 19 skaters and two goalies.
04:24:46 Devastator: some of it is small sample size theatre.
04:26:14 syv: And, I suppose, the fact that the goalie is the only person to be guaranteed to have an opportunity to mess with every single enemy scoring shot.
04:30:07 Devastator: Most of them.
04:30:15 Devastator: there are plays where the goalie has no chance.
08:39:09 er: Hey syv
08:41:52 syv: Hello!
08:42:04 syv: How does this morning find you?
08:49:17 er: I dunno, probably gonna close my eyes again
08:50:32 syv: Okay. Have sweet dreams!

21:26:45 er: life, pain!
22:33:19 er: Also, for some reason
22:34:43 er: The explanation in my head for a mechanic in Death Plane uses a metaphor involving catgirl maids, uh
22:35:53 er: So you get to pick a domain or whatever when you join. Miracles you do with that domain as a core component have halved cost
22:37:56 er: But then you could just pick some irrelevant domain, tack it on everything, and have discount for everything forever. Well you probably can't but people would try so I have to discourage it in rules to avoid tiring arguments
22:39:01 er: So if you try to do something using the domain where the domain isn't core enough, thing will be modified tho make domain core
22:39:34 er: Which sounds very abstract, so metaphor
22:40:58 er: If you try to make catgirl maids directly incorporating CAT domain, they will probably be very bad maids on account of having a cattish core.
22:41:24 er: Wait that's not a metaphor that's just an example
22:41:33 er: I used the wrong word
22:41:37 er: Grr
23:48:28 Devastator: grr.
23:48:43 Devastator: Piecewise.
23:48:47 Devastator: what does spell do?
23:51:14 Piecewise: Hmm?
23:51:54 Devastator: Yeah.
23:52:00 Devastator: what does the spell Saeko just cast do?
23:54:50 Piecewise: The one that makes your clothing bigger?
23:55:08 Piecewise: it makes your clothing bigger
23:55:16 Devastator: No, the other one.
23:55:30 Devastator: the air-moving one.
23:57:02 Piecewise: Oh, I assumed it would just push/create gusts of air when you flap
23:57:10 Piecewise: since its reverse vacuum
23:57:40 Devastator: Sweeet.
23:57:49 Devastator: enough to fly? Attack with?
23:57:51 Devastator: easy to control?
23:58:34 Piecewise: Enough to fly, yes. THough you have a bit of a "Jet wash"
23:58:51 Piecewise: Attack with...maybe, if you catch debris in the gusts and throw it
23:59:01 Piecewise: it would be enough to knock people down
23:59:04 Piecewise: on its own
23:59:16 Devastator: Mmm, so not bad, but need more to do more than impress people.
23:59:21 Devastator: sounds good.
23:59:24 Devastator: and jet wash is just fine.
23:59:50 Piecewise: Easy to control...to a point. Obviously since you're basically shooting out jet bursts you do lose a bit of fine control
