00:07:00 Devastator: does an android strip club invove robots taking off their clothing or their limbs?

01:21:26 Devastator: Also, the thumper was actually on the kaiju that attacked Taranto.
01:23:18 Devastator: it didn't fire because it got knocked out.
02:05:38 ER has joined #einsteinianroulette
03:01:47 Devastator: thanks for linking that blood bowl.
03:13:48 Devastator: I like watching it sometimes. Good watching game.
03:13:58 Devastator: and that was a good moment.
03:35:49 Devastator: "MORE BODY MORE STRONGER"
03:36:09 Devastator: What is Celia, again?
03:36:21 ER: did P&P have a stand power?
03:36:35 ER: because I have an idea of how one could work... now...
03:40:17 ER: basically, it's a power which lets you bring in your shadow, and you get to select a few different powers IT has. So you only have to spend 1 point to have it and you get the ability to use multiple different powers from it. The downside is that so long as it's active, you can't use any powers yourself.
03:41:00 ER: oh, and if you level up and get more powers, you can choose to give them to the shadow as well
03:42:14 ER: so you end up with more powers overall, but you have them in two different sets and you can only use one set at a time. when the shadow is out, you also binefit from having two bodies, but the downside is that your real body is vulnerable because you're basically just a normal for the duration
03:44:26 ER: but then, I guess you could just wear body armor and use an assault rifle and that's still pretty good? :v
03:45:00 ER: also, if you have a familiar, you don't get three bodies at once with the shadow. the familiar just turns into the shadow.
04:56:32 ER: wonder if the damage done using magic is determined by both level and magic stat, or just by magic stat
05:17:10 ER: also if all skills which do "light" damage do the same amount, or if they vary but are invisible
06:44:18 ER: nice job bein weak to light, dummy
06:48:35 ER: for the record, that was me killing an enemy :P
06:49:32 ER: Hama, light-type, has a "small" chance to instantly kill, used on an enemy which I knew was neutral to every damage type but light and dark, which I didn't know cause I didn't have those moves
06:49:43 ER: turns out, it's weak to light!
06:50:19 ER: also, that one has a lot of health and usually summons another enemy on its first turn
06:50:26 ER: so instakilling it is neat :D
06:52:00 ER: finding out that something's weak to light is accompanied by that thing dying, it seems
06:55:30 ER: just instakill MC from high health, what
07:03:12 ER: I got ambushed, and the enemy's first move before I could do anything else was to put fear on my WHOLE party
07:04:11 ER: I got one move, which I used to exploit a weakness, but then the fear effect ate my 1 more, then my ally skipped his turn, then my other ally ran away, then they just attacked me and I died
07:05:17 ER: and dice thing blocked my silence
07:05:36 ER: welp, this game really gives both sides the crazy bullshit, doesn't it?
07:36:08 ER: aren't the enemies in SMT and P5 the same creatures as you collect?
07:36:14 ER: in this one they're different
07:36:38 ER: might be misremembering how P5 worked, but I thought that was it
07:44:43 Devastator: I think it's usually a no.
07:53:41 ER: when it's raining, when you only have a few days left before game over, the usual daytime music is gone
07:54:03 ER: just faint dripping rain sounds
07:54:12 ER: that's like, really creepy actually
08:00:07 Devastator: that'll be what the last few days before game over in Sh will be like, btw.
08:00:55 Devastator: but it'll be very cold and rainy.
08:01:11 Devastator: and deeply obvious something is wrong.
08:10:21 syv has joined #einsteinianroulette
08:10:58 syv: I know the meaning of "deeply obvious", but what would "shallowly obvious" be?
08:11:22 syv: Is that "subtle"? Or "obvious, but a kind of obvious nobody really cares much about"?
08:12:07 ER: something that's obvious, but not an intrisic part of the matter
08:12:30 Devastator: Yeah, that sounds right.
08:12:39 Devastator: Irony named the Kaiju!
08:12:53 ER: something that's deeply obvious is obvious because it's just an innate, deep part of the matter being discussed
08:13:54 syv: Like "it is really hot outside in the middle of this extremely dangerous active battlefield"?
08:14:54 ER: perhaps it's something that would be easy to ascertain, but someone isn't likely to bother doing so
08:15:05 syv: Cool. I have obtained a new useless and confusing saying!
08:15:38 ER: indeed, you could say that this meaning of the phrase "shallowly obvious" is itself shallowly obvious
08:28:11 ER: enemy is weak to fire, but when I hit him with it he casts a spell to gain fire resistance
08:28:25 ER: but then, I can just hit him with fire, then cast silence on him...
08:28:40 ER: he wastes his turn trying to cast it, even
08:28:48 ER: thanks persona, you make me feel smrt
08:29:29 ER: now for shadow yuki to show me my hubris
08:45:16 ER: also dammit there's another floor :P
08:45:23 ER: that wasn't the real boss room!
08:45:47 Devastator: next up: The Secret Floor.
08:48:39 ER: oh yeah, just strong vs fucking everything
08:50:04 ER: except physical, which it simply takes very little damage from!
08:53:53 ER: okay, these are... crosses, and also scales, with one end of the scale being blue and the other red, and they're called heat balance
08:54:58 ER: they get to null BOTH fire and ice. great
08:58:23 ER: maybe it's against dark, the effect I've never found any spells for
09:00:02 ER: those aren't really listed, but could be a strat
09:02:18 Devastator: Is it one of the ones who have a difference between 'light' and 'holy' (Almighty)?
09:02:52 Devastator: the last one is basically explicitly for resist-everything enemies.
09:02:54 ER: it seems to be phys, fire, ice, elec, wind, light, dark
09:03:37 syv: That's the standard array...
09:04:02 syv: Always found it weird that light and dark or holy and unholy counter each other.
09:04:07 ER: minus splitting phys up into three types, yeah ;P
09:04:53 Devastator: there might be an almighty, then. Usually there's some summon you can get relatively early that'll have a weak one.
09:05:08 ER: in this, things don't exactly have an elemental type, but a taroe card, and usually are weak to at least one element and strong against one other element, and it doesn't really have to make sense why
09:05:20 syv: So anything that can use cross-type powers is better at them then a natural user.
09:05:48 syv: Like, you want to have a not-dragon poke with dragon attacks, so it can hit dragons and not be hit in return/
09:05:59 syv: Or not-holy people with holy attacks.
09:06:25 Devastator: well, no STAB in pokemon..
09:06:57 syv: ...STAB is *from* pokemon...?
09:07:11 Devastator: you don't get STAB with a cross-type user.
09:07:29 Devastator: so not necessarily better than a same type user.
09:07:37 ER: I really dunno much about pokemans
09:07:41 syv: Yeah. But you functionally get 50% damage reduction in return.
09:07:44 ER: always seemed like boring games to me...
09:08:00 syv: Take 100% instead of 200%, while dealing 100% instead of 150%.
09:08:15 syv: While dealing 200% instead of 300%.
09:08:35 syv: Man that's just terrible, I should slap myself.
09:08:41 syv: None of those numbers are the right numbers.
09:23:05 syv: But that was a good YuGiOh scene
09:23:05 Devastator: Might be pretty different if the main character was murderous.
09:23:44 ER: ice barrier reverts, instantly recasts it
09:34:15 Devastator: hey, that's what cheating is for.
09:34:23 ER: well, that went well, till it didn't.
09:36:33 ER: boss used aoe fire, which hit chie's weakness, got a free turn from that, and hit PC with a physical, which together with the aoe was enough to kill him. would have been fine if I were still using my main persona which has phys resistance, but I switched to a different one to cure yasuke's fear
09:37:10 Devastator: okay, that's funny, watching that guy play another blood bowl match against a fouling orc team with an overall higher value than his. He realizes that with basically all the power being on the few players who aren't foulers, he can foul back more effectively with his crappier units.
09:37:57 ER: oh yeah, think I was there for that one
09:38:12 ER: if you see me in chat, pretend not to, okay? ;P
09:38:26 Devastator: I can't chat on twitch, it doesn't load right.
09:38:34 Devastator: but he does show chat..
09:38:37 Devastator: and yes, I've seen you.
09:39:23 Devastator: "Oh, your 96 xp level five orc blitzer? Well I have a level 0 lineman! Time to foul."
09:39:51 ER: of course he's a normal humans fan
09:40:03 Devastator: (It's worth it because the value of a potential injury to the fancy boi is much more than the value of a crappy lineman.)
09:40:22 Devastator: I like other teams too, it's just that he's playing humans.
09:42:04 Devastator: I was following a chaos team earlier, and another one that was some flavor of elfy.
09:45:43 ER: I do love how exagerated damage weaknesses are in this game
09:46:07 syv: Makes it less number munchkinny, yeah?
09:46:18 syv: More about matching the right counters.
09:46:37 ER: first you do more damage, then you knock down the opponant, then you get an extra turn, then if every opponant's knocked down you can all-out attack and deal tons of damage to all enemies
09:48:30 Devastator: He really needs a wrestle piece to deal with the guys who have block and dodge and are hard to knock down.
09:49:19 ER: the knockdown isn't a stun, but if you phys attack a knocked down enemy they get "dizzy", which...probably does something stunlike?
09:57:54 ER: the first failure just goes to show that 80% HP is in the danger zone :P
10:00:44 Devastator: he also should do more punching with the ogre. He has a lot of two-die blocks he passes on before doing something risky to end the turn.
10:01:35 ER: do you risk boneheading if you punch with ogre, or just when you move?
10:01:51 Devastator: ogres always bone'head
10:02:28 ER: then it's a matter of picking which risky thing you want to end your turn, I guess
10:02:48 ER: when ogre does anything, 1/6 chance to not do anything, and also end your turn
10:03:01 ER: pretty much any time you fail at a roll, your turn just ends
10:03:47 ER: so with that in mind, I think he just values his other guys doing stuff more than ogre doing punches. ogre's more there to be a wall
10:03:56 Devastator: yeah, but his choice is like something with two 3+
10:13:36 Devastator: oh god, the ogre picked up the ball.
10:13:42 Devastator: something horrible is going to happen.
10:16:27 Devastator: god, if that pass had happened..
10:16:38 Devastator: pass, dodge, handoff, dodge, handoff, score.
10:17:59 Devastator: okay, drawing with a team worth 500 more value than yours is exceptional.
10:21:56 Devastator: especially one with that many statups.
10:38:05 Devastator: also, I don't think a bonehead is a turnover. The ogre just loses tackle zones.
10:38:54 ER: I just know that it's hilarious
10:40:04 Devastator: I think it is wild animal that changes for punches.
10:40:04 ER: specially because players are named after chat :P
10:40:16 Devastator: if you aren't punching, it's a 4+ to do something.
10:40:22 Devastator: if you are punching, it is a 2+.
10:43:39 Devastator: the part I like is how the bonehead symbol just stays there.
10:43:47 Devastator: until the next turn, so all through the opponent's turn.
10:47:48 Devastator: There's also something about crowd surfing that just makes players go for it like drugs.
10:48:01 Devastator: "I can push someone out of bounds with these three moves!"
10:59:12 ER: that bit was so very filler, but it was kinda adorable too
11:29:49 ER: know what's great? winning a battle with multiple enemies on my first move :D
11:30:21 syv: Field-wide elemental weakness move?
11:44:18 ER: the images of my characters which dramatically flash up when I all-out-attack just look super pumped and happy to be there
11:52:41 syv: That's something that should be done more often.
11:53:15 syv: I usually like that kinda effect if it's not obstructive, and it adds a good chunk of personality.
11:58:21 syv: The darksign brands the undead
12:11:45 ER: >literally entire party dies from fine health
12:22:36 ER: darkness, endless, despair, fear no more~ coldness, blackened, no sound, feel no pain~ captured, helpless, ultimate, dreadful fate~ powerless, lifeless, no breath, falling down~
13:36:10 ER: it would seem that I forgot about sleeping?
13:36:34 ER: like, the feeling that it would be now pleasant to rest never came
13:36:53 ER: but instead I'm just in pain
