00:06:17 ER: this game really does have some good music
00:08:43 Devastator: so it's three pages ever?
00:13:51 Devastator: and yeah, doing it
Piecewise.
00:14:23 Piecewise: its 3 monsters in the book, including ones currently summoned
00:16:17 Devastator: seems somewhat useful, but getting assistants and such might be the best use for it.
00:16:32 Devastator: anything combat-related I'd need to beat in a will vs str roll anyway.
00:41:01 Devastator: so do I get a person, or do I get like an automaton?
01:11:59 ER: Okay, I think that I do recommend Long Gone Days after all
01:12:29 ER: by which I mean that it gets better, which you may or may not be okay with depending on how much your respect your own time ;p
01:12:54 ER: oh, and also the addional caveat that it's not finished
01:13:15 ER: chapter 1 is... alright, and I quite liked chapter 2
01:13:24 ER: and that's all that exists currently!
01:19:19 ER: the way that the plot starts is honestly kinda dumb, but I like how it progresses from there
01:20:27 Devastator: should change the orders a bit,
Piecewise.
01:20:38 Devastator: make the deal, and then store the guy in the book, while mana-draining from fear.
01:21:19 Piecewise: he's not conscious in the book.
01:21:24 Piecewise: he's not even alive in the book
01:22:19 Devastator: I meant mana draining while the book is killing the guy.
01:40:49 Piecewise: I mean, it basically just Gobbles him in an instant
01:41:08 Piecewise: Unless you wanna like hang it over his head and bully him
01:41:44 ER: if you can't torture people for fun and profit why even be an empath
01:43:57 Devastator: might as well just hug him first and book him as we go to the site.
01:44:03 Devastator: ie, after he gets his stuff together.
01:44:25 Devastator: it will end up with like a person, right?
01:44:27 Devastator: and not like a robot?
01:46:39 ER: have you talked to E about killing some rando and replacing him with something identical which will follow your every order forever?
01:47:00 Devastator: nope. This one's gonna be secret.
02:03:24 Devastator: no deader than
ER chars..
02:19:21 Devastator: right, messenger birds.
02:36:40 Devastator: I should post shorter orders.
02:37:08 Devastator: get there, have construction start, go hunting.
02:39:35 Devastator: man, big storm tonight.
02:47:26 Devastator: might have the power go out.
02:47:32 Devastator: also, sun still up, so not good watching.
02:53:53 Devastator: animu makes time fly?
02:55:45 ER: tempted to buy the PC version of Persona 4
02:55:53 ER: always wanted to try those games
02:59:40 Devastator: heard they're pretty good.
02:59:50 Devastator: but nightmarish for completionists.
03:00:35 ER: my competionist instinct dies when you start telling me to play through a 50 hour game or whatever multiple times...
03:00:58 ER: if it's just a little game, I'll check the fuck out of every corner, but
03:01:15 Devastator: I read a completionist LP of it.
03:18:36 Piecewise: Go romance your teacher
03:21:24 Devastator: all the personas are fucked up, tbh.
03:23:00 Devastator: first one: Kill god with a commodore 64
03:23:11 Devastator: well, that and a pistol.
03:23:29 Devastator: and don't forget the love bullets.
03:23:46 ER: more or less fucked up than SMT?
03:24:33 Devastator: mmm, no, SMT's more.
03:24:42 Devastator: same thing, but more.
03:25:38 Piecewise: I'm more a fan of the digital devil saga
03:34:36 Piecewise: the game that...did it exist before persona?
03:35:01 ER: Think persona came after SMT
03:35:13 Devastator: they're very similar, but yes, that's how it went.
03:35:21 Devastator: SMT was all the way back on the famicom.
03:36:02 Piecewise: I like SMT more than persona because demon pokemon breeding
03:36:28 Devastator: gotta have demon sex.
03:36:40 Devastator: It was an inspired idea, actually.
03:37:02 Devastator: but RPGs on those systems in that style is extremely hard.
03:38:04 Devastator: well, I think you're restricted to four at a time, IIRC.
03:39:33 Devastator: also both EARN THAT NEUTRAL ENDING.
03:40:23 Devastator: I am amused, though.
03:40:30 Devastator: crucified soul in three minutes flat.
03:45:11 Devastator: also, IIRC, it was like that famous quote.
03:45:16 Devastator: “The Schleswig-Holstein question is so complicated, only three men in Europe have ever understood it. One was Prince Albert, who is dead. The second was a German professor who became mad. I am the third and I have forgotten all about it.”
03:53:54 ER: stoopid nc state, taxing me 1.40 for a $20 online purchase
03:54:08 ER: when have they ever done anything for me?~
03:54:29 ER: other than keep the roads paved and such
03:54:43 Devastator: gotta have sales tax, otherwise they'd have to tax based on income.
03:54:49 Devastator: and have the rich pay more.
03:55:15 ER: that's a way of looking at it
03:55:35 Piecewise: I was a mariner once
03:55:49 Piecewise: couldn't afford the sails tax
03:56:03 ER: maybe if the super rich just used their money to fund videogame delevopment and all games were free, then I wouldn't want to eat them
03:56:21 Devastator: well, there's places like Texas where they do neither tax, and then charge you up the ass for land taxes.
03:56:28 Piecewise: pretty sure you'd still want to eat them
03:57:38 ER: because I have a job, apparently, and that job apparently gives me money, which apparently I can spend on things like this
03:58:30 syv has joined #einsteinianroulette
03:58:38 syv: Isn't being an adult so *weird*?
03:58:51 Devastator: I still have moments like that,
syv.
03:59:19 Piecewise: I wouldn't recommend it
03:59:27 Devastator: "You mean if I want Ice Cream, I can just go buy some?"
03:59:30 Piecewise: and becoming a skeleton
04:00:03 Piecewise: I yelled at irony that you're here by the way
04:00:10 syv: Yeah, I have moments like that basically constantly.
04:00:25 syv: Much more time spent feeling like I'm just a kid faking being an adult.
04:00:34 Devastator: Pfft, I don't think that ever completely goes away.
04:00:40 ER: I've barely been spending any money on anything for this whole virus, because I haven't been leaving the house and my rent went down
04:00:48 Devastator: although there are moments where you get something done and it's like 'hey, I did something!'
04:00:53 Piecewise: I think it was byron who said that the tragedy of being old is not that you are old, but that you are young.
04:01:23 Devastator: and the body's old.
04:02:02 syv: Is Ozen still a potato child at heart?
04:02:43 ER: wonder how I'd feel after a couple hundred years
04:02:50 IronyOwl has joined #einsteinianroulette
04:03:20 IronyOwl: oh boy time for more nothing bad ever happens anime
04:04:07 IronyOwl: breathing de-intensifies
04:05:04 ER: haha, I can watch a video while also downloading something, because THE VIDEO IS ALREADY ON MY COMPUTER! :D
04:05:18 ER: and chat at the same time because IRC uses no network
04:05:52 Piecewise: the only good stream is the one you can drown someone in
04:06:09 ER: or a torrent of ardent pathos
04:06:14 syv: What about a stream of napalm?
04:06:16 ER: that would be a good stream
04:06:39 Devastator: I think you can drown someone in napalm.
04:07:01 ER: I don't think a flamethrower is as cool as Soulstream
04:07:13 IronyOwl: so bun was watching this whole thing
04:07:19 Devastator: bunny likes to watch.
04:07:27 Devastator: took his time to intervene..
04:07:37 Devastator: "Man, this guy's awful at the first-aid thing."
04:07:41 ER: stop making noises, stoopid steel man
04:07:42 Devastator: "I'm gonna watch a bit more."
04:08:17 IronyOwl: poor corpse-girl, getting re-corpsed by a kabuki porcupine
04:08:49 syv: ...Why does a robot breath normally?
04:09:01 ER: he does a lot of human things
04:09:13 IronyOwl: like have nonrobotic jumblies
04:09:21 ER: like having a dick as they repeatedly mention for some reaon
04:09:33 syv: Nobody said they're definitely not robotic.
04:09:33 Piecewise: cannot deny the robodick
04:09:50 syv: Just from looking, though.
04:09:50 IronyOwl: I usually trust fastmole
04:09:51 Piecewise: Note all the whistles he had hanging on his wall
04:10:02 syv: Could be like his head skin
04:10:31 Piecewise: Oh no we're in souls again
04:10:37 Devastator: Yeah, can't just go away with an adjective like that.
04:10:39 Piecewise: to the asylum with you
04:10:51 Devastator: the circle just turns anew.
04:10:55 ER: no multiplayer phantoms for her
04:11:22 IronyOwl: she looks so happy with two arms
04:11:48 Devastator: maybe there's a robo-arm.
04:11:54 syv: What was bun hugging, there?
04:12:07 Devastator: I could believe not spoiling losing an arm in the opening.
04:12:37 IronyOwl: that means she's in terrible pain
04:12:38 Devastator: more pain that way.
04:13:10 syv: "Made FROM a friend of mine"
04:13:11 ER: why make cuts when you can eat herbs
04:13:14 IronyOwl: payback for the stick
04:13:48 Piecewise: pretty good for big paws
04:14:07 syv: I didn't know I wanted to see that so much!
04:14:25 Devastator: Hey, Hands off the fluff!
04:15:06 IronyOwl: already thinking of the prosthetic chainsaw, eh?
04:15:26 syv: "I'm the robot boy, and she's Safe!"
04:15:56 Devastator: "I see why you call her that."
04:16:16 Devastator: what's with the hat?
04:16:25 IronyOwl: probably some bug shell
04:16:29 syv: His chest is just a cylinder.
04:16:59 ER: we still don't know what hollows are, right?
04:19:40 Devastator: Yeah, he's not bad.
04:19:55 Devastator: ooh, white whistle.
04:19:57 ER: he's an invincible robot who's determined and has no squishy to hold him back
04:20:38 Devastator: do the evil whistles make people evil, or do they give evil whistles to evil people?
04:20:56 ER: they're all a bit crazy by that point
04:21:43 IronyOwl: those are surprisingly normal-bird sized
04:21:58 Devastator: yeah, maybe not everything's huge.
04:22:09 ER: how did nanachi work out this recipie?
04:22:50 IronyOwl: yeah, she was I guess the apprentice to a mad mummy scientist
04:23:59 Devastator: but you used the word parasite.
04:24:26 ER: parasites are a kind of symbyote
04:24:55 IronyOwl: that explains how she knew the recipe
04:25:11 IronyOwl: bun is very pleased that somebody this deep is so un-hardcore
04:25:30 Devastator: hands off the fluff!
04:26:20 syv: He was sent by Annihilator
04:27:09 Devastator: that would be a good way to protect from the curse.
04:27:42 IronyOwl: new bearskin blankie?
04:29:12 ER: welp, we only got two more?
04:29:25 Devastator: I don't think they're getting all the way down.
04:29:42 Piecewise: remember there's taht sequel movie I told ya bout
04:29:57 Devastator: I'd be up for that next.
04:30:08 Piecewise: it premiered but not on dvd yet.
04:30:14 syv: Oh, I looked this up on Wikipedia.
04:30:26 Piecewise: so there are shitty cam rips but thats it
04:30:27 syv: This season covers volumes 1-3 of 8...
04:30:51 Devastator: not that desperate either.
04:31:02 IronyOwl: maybe I should just read the manga...
04:31:02 syv: 12. "The true nature of the curse"
04:31:39 Devastator: "You see, when a mommy and a daddy love each other very much.."
04:32:09 Devastator: that's totally a magical girl.
04:32:36 syv: Hell, that wasn't made up?
04:32:59 ER: I can appriciate characters who aren't necessarally main characters having brightly colored hair
04:33:28 IronyOwl: instantly better away from the hell pit
04:34:06 ER: maybe people SHOULDN'T meddle in the hell pit of irrevokable death
04:34:45 Piecewise: I like how we have glimpses of the world outside
04:34:48 IronyOwl: this is definitely some kind of giant organism looking for food/symbiotes
04:34:50 syv: This is just roadside picnic, if the roadside picnic had been a drive-by shooting...
04:34:54 ER: (Nah, I'm fine up here. My house is nice.)
04:35:21 Piecewise: Like I said back when, it ain't just a big hole
04:35:30 Devastator: still looks like one.
04:35:57 Devastator: I mean, yeah, I'm pretty sure a big hole doesn't turn people into fluffies.
04:36:10 syv: Big hole that reflects light and air and has so much life and shape, and magically curses people who leave it, and is filled with artifacts...?
04:37:08 IronyOwl: who you calling little man, tiny bun?
04:37:13 Devastator: robot was ten meters away.
04:37:26 Devastator: bunbun was also ten meters away.
04:38:21 syv: Need to farm superpowers by lowering people into the pit and pulling them back out.
04:38:32 IronyOwl: sounds like a plan to me
04:38:40 IronyOwl: also you ate Safe's chopped fish slop
04:38:46 IronyOwl: how much worse could this be
04:38:53 Devastator: Safe's a good cook, though.
04:38:54 syv: So does melted chocolate, but it's awesome.
04:40:30 IronyOwl: I mean you got HARD rolled by a monster on this floor
04:40:37 IronyOwl: lower floors ain't sounding so good
04:40:38 ER: if bun went back down to the mutation layer and came up, would it affect her
04:40:59 Devastator: I think bun did that and ended up like bun.
04:42:56 Devastator: going slow doesn't help then.
04:43:00 syv: Ahh, this is why they have a shoet distance of leeway
04:44:22 ER: could you just dig your way to the surface away from the main shaft, then?
04:45:01 IronyOwl: they are also predators of the abyss
04:45:51 IronyOwl: still pretty snuggly though
04:47:08 IronyOwl: robot is unnerved by walkie talkies
04:47:22 Devastator: bun probably feels like that all the time.
04:48:38 Devastator: 'do exactly what I say'
04:49:09 Devastator: oop, got it by the schnozz.
04:51:44 IronyOwl: partial mission success
04:51:51 IronyOwl: though robo boy isn't very good at following orders
04:52:10 Devastator: the don't listen to me aura around safe was infectuous.
04:52:21 Devastator: ..yeah, they could use bunny.
04:52:56 IronyOwl: she said it wouldn't be easy!
04:52:57 Devastator: bet he passes out right then.
04:53:38 IronyOwl: time for the finale, in which robo boy murders a blob
04:53:57 Piecewise: This one is twice as long
04:54:05 IronyOwl: a proper finale, then
04:54:08 Devastator: still pretty early.
04:54:26 Devastator: and bunny has to come with anyway.
04:54:43 syv: I think they'll leave Bun behind.
04:54:51 IronyOwl: I hope they take bun with
04:54:55 syv: Introduced lots of chars who get left behind.
04:54:55 Devastator: I'll bet bun comes with.
04:54:57 IronyOwl: could use a third to this two-jackass show
04:55:07 syv: But yes, it'd be nice to take Bun too.
04:55:27 syv: Though the powergamer in me wants Bun to end up running another waystation.
04:55:52 IronyOwl: I wonder how useful waystations are down here
04:55:58 IronyOwl: seems like most deaths are probably instagibs
04:56:01 Devastator: don't have anyone to turn into a purple catgirl atm.
04:56:21 syv: You could turn Ekrov into a purple catgirl.
04:56:38 ER: stick him in your murder book
04:57:00 syv: Ekrov getting readers digested would be interesting.
04:57:19 syv: Hey,
Piecewise, would Ekrov be aware of the book's effect on him if he got eaten?
04:57:21 Devastator: probably wouldn't. Doesn't seem intended for permanent use.
04:57:49 Piecewise: The book produces copies. The original is killed
04:58:00 syv: But is the copy self aware?
04:58:29 ER: would the copy be a mage, for that matter
04:58:38 syv: It'd be interesting to play a char who's very intelligent and perceptive, but under constant mind control, which he knows of.
04:58:39 IronyOwl: sure enough, passes out right then
04:58:49 Devastator: yeah, too classical that.
04:59:03 IronyOwl: also... there's snow down here
04:59:50 IronyOwl: so many delicious lil moppets
05:00:59 Devastator: operation throw kid in hole.
05:01:12 IronyOwl: that's probably like half the plans people have down here
05:01:40 syv: Seems like this guy agrees with my mutation farming plan.
05:02:00 Devastator: and maybe one comes back.
05:02:07 syv: ...Does that small child have cleavage?
05:02:12 IronyOwl: who the fuck would come down here who doesn't want to be a white whistle
05:02:19 Piecewise: she might be like 14 or so
05:03:02 Devastator: Man, it's like signs that say, 'important characters.'
05:03:03 ER: so the bleb used to have red hair
05:03:42 IronyOwl: insane, as all everyone down here is
05:04:03 IronyOwl: how deep does this express elevator reach anyway
05:04:08 syv: More than ten meters, apparently
05:04:13 IronyOwl: pretty fucking deep, it would seem
05:05:03 syv: Yeah, derp. Missed a zero.
05:06:00 IronyOwl: science never sleeps!
05:06:31 IronyOwl: this guy remembers their names
05:06:40 IronyOwl: that probably puts him at the top 20% of orphan bosses
05:06:43 syv: All the better to control them with.
05:06:45 IronyOwl: even including the heinous experiments
05:07:36 IronyOwl: probably a common feature of white whistles
05:07:45 IronyOwl: lots of good things happen in science tubes
05:08:00 IronyOwl: why not just take them both at the same time then
05:08:06 IronyOwl: you have to weigh them individually or something?
05:09:02 Devastator: dub said 'most precious'
05:09:08 Devastator: which could be translated as 'cutest'
05:09:43 IronyOwl: gotta admit, finding a way to force the curse onto one person and away from another is pretty fascinating
05:09:51 Devastator: yeah, it's an idea.
05:09:58 Devastator: they might have someone get back from down here then.
05:12:25 IronyOwl: that's very fascinating
05:12:30 ER: oh, not just immune to poison
05:12:59 Devastator: so what's fifth layer curse?
05:14:36 IronyOwl: ah, that'd be the other thing
05:18:27 IronyOwl: DEFINITELY need some Safe
05:18:39 syv: Bun made fun of his catchphrase!
05:19:27 Devastator: the freakiest of all methods of movement.
05:19:38 syv: But Bun seems pretty mail by that backstory.
05:19:39 Devastator: hands off the fluff.
05:22:02 ER: I watched that whole backstory reading nanachi as a she
05:22:47 Devastator: think it's a boy rabbit.
05:22:50 Devastator: also doesn't matter.
05:24:52 IronyOwl: yeah, surprisingly nondestructive to anything else
05:26:09 Devastator: I think he did see safemom.
05:26:43 IronyOwl: been a while since Safe's been up and implementing bad ideas
05:27:14 Devastator: oop, touching the fluff.
05:27:39 Devastator: I think bun coming with.
05:28:16 ER: congrats, you found something new to live for!
05:30:16 IronyOwl: so midi was just in constant unrelenting terror at all times
05:31:20 syv: Mind is a plaything of the body, anf the body had been suffering unrelenting torture for a long time.
05:31:47 Devastator: "that girl is just not safe."
05:33:01 Devastator: ..is this the hot springs episode,
Piecewise?
05:33:13 syv: Oddly enough I'm not angry.
05:33:15 IronyOwl: murder friend and also hot springs episode
05:33:35 IronyOwl: that's finally relevant
05:34:30 ER: "I can't bear to watch this." *leans in*
05:34:59 Devastator: better than her becoming a mushroom person.
05:35:00 IronyOwl: not quiiiiiiite done torturing children yet
05:36:59 IronyOwl: granted going with them is a death sentence
05:37:04 IronyOwl: so this is maybe more of a commitment than normal
05:37:19 ER: "Well, I have no reason to stay here, and going up would probably kill me, so may as well go down."
05:37:20 syv: And just living here is kinda crap.
05:37:26 Piecewise: Nanachi did say to "A bit more"
05:37:46 Piecewise: I don't think survival is something he's hugely worried about
05:38:02 IronyOwl: completely unperturbed at all the sick shit she's been through
05:38:27 IronyOwl: what are they sending up, I wonder?
05:39:11 IronyOwl: cute little hoppy maid
05:39:31 ER: ah, that's a thing the waystation does
05:39:40 IronyOwl: yeah, good function, that
05:41:55 IronyOwl: bun doesn't have a backpack?
05:42:05 IronyOwl: hello creepy sad adventures!
05:42:31 ER: I've been smote by feels pretty much this whole watching session
05:42:57 IronyOwl: I really like this guy
05:43:03 Devastator: bonelord or whatever.
05:43:07 Devastator: looks like that's it.
05:43:09 ER: I'd like to see him dye horribly
05:43:43 Devastator: I think he needs a close up with Liza the annihiliator.
05:43:50 syv: Need armor plating for it too.
05:44:06 Piecewise: Ozen did warn them about him
05:44:09 syv: A proper sociopathic tinkerer.
05:44:37 IronyOwl: what a coincidence, fastmole warned them about her
05:44:38 syv: Ey Dubs, I had a mechanic idea for holegame.
05:45:01 IronyOwl: somebody told them she was... UNSTABLE
05:45:15 Piecewise: Fastmole warned that she could tell Riko something that would be...disturbing
05:45:31 syv: Ahh, yeah. Fastmole warned about Ozen, Ozen warned about Bonelewd.
05:45:41 syv: Bonelewd will warn about thw ANNIHILATOR
05:46:37 Devastator: so sixth layer crushes the humanity out of you when you go up.
05:46:55 syv: Anyway, yeah. Using depth as a resource, of sorts. Always tracked, like hitpoints in most games, or mana in Cabal. At any time, a player can choose to descend further into the pit, and it'll pretty much always give some kind of benefit to what they're doing.
05:47:55 syv: Ca pretty much always choose to retreat from monsters or forage better by going lower, but it's kind've a deferred cost--the lower you go, more risky getting up.
05:48:20 syv: And if you have a limited trip, like to the waystation at depth X, this functionally means you have a resource limit to spend before getting there.
05:49:18 syv: Dunno about how to handle the curse, though. Curse seems kind've unfun to play through, if you climb back up. Might be better as an abstracted thing? Or maybe have elevator stops at waystations, which are relatively safe?
05:49:29 Piecewise: so burn depth to escape critter, but end up in places with more dangerous critters
05:49:51 syv: And better loot, of course.
05:50:05 Piecewise: I don't intend to do a straight rip from Abyss so I might not have a curse or anything, but we'll see
05:50:32 ER: I see no point if you're doing this to make the curse escapable or not brutal.
05:50:48 syv: I also like how depth as a resource directly encourages the whole love of descending that the raiders have.
05:50:59 syv: Bakes it into the system--you have a constant incentive to go deeper.
05:51:36 Devastator: we have to go deeper.
05:51:52 Devastator: god, doing text memes.
05:51:59 Devastator: getting very close to jumping the shark.
05:52:21 Piecewise: Has anyone here watched "The Big O"?
05:52:24 ER: they told us we have to aim higher so we dug deeper
05:53:09 Piecewise: might be fun to watch
05:53:18 syv: Also, I want trained watchcats to be an armory item.
05:53:36 syv: Because cats are great for vertical environments, and also are adorable.
05:54:03 syv: More useful than in SSSS. Or at least with more wide utility.
05:54:11 syv: Like dogs, but for working in a hole.
05:57:52 syv: I do think there should be some kind of hole curse.
05:58:29 syv: If nothing else, the mutating inhumanity is right up your alley, and is really cool to drive home "This place is strange and terribly unnatural"
05:59:15 syv: I also kinda really want to see a scene where someone spots awesome lute that's, like, thirty feet above them. And then they have to suffer terribly getting up to it.
05:59:49 ER: after all, the reason that tachell mutates you is that you're a horribly programmed creature that can't even handle dying correctly
06:00:29 syv: We had some really fun characters, it's a pity to leave them unplayed. :(
06:03:04 ER: as soon as i figure out how to attach a module to my mind which can actually handle that task
06:03:52 Devastator: I did hear some advice for avoiding writer's block recently, actually.
06:04:08 Devastator: you stop when you still have some left to write.
06:04:14 Devastator: so when you next start you have something to start with.
06:04:35 syv: Nope. Doesn't work for me.
06:04:43 syv: Actually, that usually has the opposite effect.
06:04:49 ER: what, you want me to *suffer*?
06:05:00 syv: Finishing a half-written update is harder than starting over, most of the time.
06:05:16 Piecewise: The best way is to stare at a word doc for an hour, then stand up, walk around for a minute, and then figure it out
06:05:16 ER: I can't just live with a phrase burning through my brain and leave it
06:05:39 syv: The best way is to chew gum
06:05:40 Devastator: it wasn't just like that.
06:05:59 Devastator: it was 'know what the next sentence you're writing is, because you stopped while the tank wasn't empty.'
06:06:58 ER: yeah, I know what to write next because the muses draw it straight into my soft skullmeat
06:07:21 syv: You may want to get that checked.
06:08:28 Piecewise: Gonna download 1-13 (first season) of this and watch it later. If anyone else is interested, feel free
06:08:45 Piecewise: one of the view anime that I watch the dub
06:09:28 syv: Doesn't sound particularly interesting to me, but I'll tag along if the others want to watch it.
06:10:29 Piecewise: its got a lot of style to it
06:11:12 syv: Style isn't my kind've thing. >.>
06:11:20 Devastator: yeah, I remember you not liking Cowboy Bebop.
06:11:30 Devastator: the anime that was 78.3% Style.
06:11:41 IronyOwl: I think not liking Bebop is nerd blasphemy
06:11:56 Devastator: tbh, I was sorta indifferent.
06:12:02 Devastator: liked it, but not that much.
06:12:08 Devastator: PM3, now that was excellent.
06:12:10 ER: don't worry irony, I liked it
06:12:17 syv: I guess my nerddom is irredeemable.
06:12:30 Devastator: just be a hipster nerd.
06:13:11 Devastator: it's like a normal nerd, except you get to hate nerd things.
06:13:31 syv: I might be already. On of my favorite games right now is a Chinese Attack on Titan fangame, despite the fact that I firmly hating Attack on Titan.
06:14:04 syv: It's way too slow and predictable.
06:14:22 ER: welp, found a song for the refine folder
06:14:53 IronyOwl: I thought it was some generic scifi thing
06:15:15 Piecewise: Hmm I wonder what anime I can recommend we watch next that
sy will like
06:15:34 syv: At this point I think it's pretty obvious.
06:15:40 syv: I like watching small children suffer.
06:15:46 syv: And I guess that's about it.
06:17:01 ER: feels too important to leave up to myself :(
06:17:32 syv: Refine after Sophia dies and I foist all the guts of PS onto you.
06:18:30 ER: I was thinking that, but I don't want you to instagib her
06:18:52 syv: Oh no, when she finally dies it will be your fault.
06:19:28 syv: Nah, Ada would never hurt her waifu.
06:19:42 Devastator: yeah, I might give bad advice.
06:19:53 Devastator: could be
paris's fault, as opposed to Ada.
06:20:17 ER: All Alida has to do is be a glorious steed
06:20:58 Devastator: got enough mobility to not fall off?
06:21:58 Devastator: probably for out of combat.
06:22:07 Devastator: or she got faster or something.
06:23:09 ER: Sophia is... certainly the squishy mage
06:23:10 syv: Alida just fell off herself, and she has mob III.
06:23:47 ER: tooru is soft, but she's fast enough to be a skirmisher
06:24:10 Devastator: yeah, hit a ceiling there.
06:25:02 ER: I've got big shoots, mind control, healing/ranged attacking with Triage, and whatever role IM plays
06:25:30 syv: Limit break desperation summon
06:25:40 ER: in the filling of no directly DEFENSIVE powers, unskilled bravery and cursed mercy, and not much mobility...
06:26:14 ER: good thing her waifu has a shield, huh? :V
06:26:40 Piecewise is now known as piecewise_is_sleeping
06:27:30 ER: And that's why she feels safe being unobserved and wants to eliminate threats quickly.
06:27:55 ER: because I vainly hope that skilled creativity counts as a defnsive tactic
06:29:34 syv: You may, uh, want to remember that stealth only works if you try stealth.
06:29:45 ER: well, I stepped into this dungeon immediately being percieved by knights >:(
06:30:02 Devastator: They might forget about you..
06:30:03 syv: Shooting things with a gun isn't exactly trying stealth...
06:37:54 ER: kill the witnesses as violently as possible and then relocate
06:41:00 Devastator: is the violence integral?
06:41:30 ER: initiate violence subroutine
06:45:12 Devastator: manga has 'Seventh layer is Instant Death.'
06:45:51 syv: Well. That seems a bit rough.
06:46:15 ER: have you tried just not dying
06:47:03 IronyOwl: I wonder if you can build resistance to that like the others...
06:47:41 ER: well, you just have to recover from the death using CUBE
06:48:47 syv: Man, that cube really is quite the artifact to leave sitting in the second layer.
06:49:09 Devastator: Yeah, you might be able to get up from Six with it.
06:49:27 Devastator: go down, kill yourself, fall into the cube, be pulled up, and get revived.
06:49:38 ER: too small to save an adult without some tactical head-slicing
06:49:41 syv: I imagine there's other way around it.
06:49:48 syv: Ozen got back up, after all.
06:50:19 ER: just dig away from the pit and then dig up until you hit the ocean floor
06:50:33 ER: might actually be doable with antimatter beab
06:50:51 syv: Ocean's a bit lethal to dig into the bottom of, though.
06:50:51 Devastator: Maybe Ozen never went past five.
06:51:04 Devastator: and that might have been where they found the cube or somethign.
06:54:13 Devastator: getting to that, yeah, the Unheard Bell she was going after was on the fourth level.
06:55:41 ER: I'm pretty sure if you make it to black you're a badass
06:55:47 Devastator: Manga says they were attacked by foreigners.
06:55:51 ER: if you make it to white you're an unhinged badass
07:35:12 IronyOwl: I mentioned that earlier
07:35:20 IronyOwl: might be that the underworld is all interconnected or something
07:35:36 IronyOwl: because yeah, being attacked by "another nation" down there is not what you'd expect from the layout
07:36:06 IronyOwl: I don't think it'd be bonelewd, because he appears to have an express elevator directly to his secret evil lair in that town
07:36:23 IronyOwl: I'd think that'd be kinda tricky if he counted as a hostile foreign power
07:47:15 syv: He did take a lot of foreign children in, though.
07:47:38 syv: He might employ foreign raiders, possibly to obscure his own involvement.
07:48:22 syv: That would also explain how foreigners can get down there, without underground interconnection.
08:00:15 syv: baconeggsdogsbaconeggsdogs
08:05:21 syv: I've been listening to that song, yes.
08:08:07 syv: I was listening to that a few days ago.
08:08:15 syv: Not my favorite PM3 remix of his.
08:08:30 ER: wonder if google figures out what to show me by looking at you
08:09:08 syv: Have you tried listening to any of Mittsies' music lately?
08:09:35 syv: Because that was yesterday's music.
08:14:31 syv: Nope, haven't heard that one.
08:14:47 IronyOwl has joined #einsteinianroulette
08:15:17 syv: I said bye but then you came back.
08:17:22 syv: This doesn't seem like music.
08:17:55 ER: horror tracks are sometimes like that :V
08:26:45 syv: I'm more a Carpenter Brut kinda guy...
08:34:12 IronyOwl: also a fan of carpenter brut
09:22:16 syv: This is twenty-five minutes
09:23:37 ER has quit [Read error: Operation timed out]
10:30:02 syv has quit [Quit: You hear a distant scream of "FUCK T-MOBILE!"]
14:43:52 piecewise_is_sleeping is now known as piecewise
15:16:19 piecewise: So I thought of two anime that might be good
15:16:26 piecewise: Bokurano and Grimgar
15:18:40 piecewise: I feel like I've suggested Bokurano before, not sure about Grimgar
15:33:01 piecewise: Other options include "Kino no tabi" which is episodic so I can show you guys my favorite episode and you can choose if it seems like something you'd like to continue
15:33:16 piecewise: Sword of the stranger, if you haven't seen that movie
15:34:34 piecewise: Re Zero if you're just into suffering
15:34:43 piecewise: (character suffering, not your own)
15:35:06 piecewise: Planetes for the best hard scifi anime ever made
15:35:41 piecewise: Psycho pass, if you want another anime by the guy who made madoka
15:36:27 piecewise: Kaiba for a very strange far future story
15:58:40 piecewise: Gunbuster, a mech anime with time dilation
20:47:57 ER has joined #einsteinianroulette
21:12:26 ER has quit [Read error: Connection reset by peer]
21:40:09 ER has joined #einsteinianroulette
21:44:04 ER: P4's anime cutscenes seem to lag for no damn reason and I can't change it by fiddling with the settings
21:44:36 ER: at first I thought I fixed it by restarting my computer, but it came back
21:44:48 ER: and it doesn't seem consistant, either
22:30:02 ER: named my character eler mountain
22:30:17 ER: not sure how or why I came up with that
22:35:32 piecewise: Like space mountain, but infinitely more annoying
22:56:09 Devastator:
piecewise, that description of angelic doesn't seem too bad.
22:56:14 Devastator: there a catch there?
22:57:41 piecewise: See that thing NG is fighting?
23:46:24 Devastator: I was worried there might be some mental stuff or compulstion stuff.
