03:33:29 Devastator: finishing up the k-com turn.
03:36:20 syv: I forgot to bring my lunch to work, because I am an idiot.
03:39:40 syv: No. I probably won't be hungry for awhile, if at all.
03:39:57 syv: Buuut usually it's a good idea to eat. :P
03:44:05 Devastator: Is yotta around in the bone zone?
03:44:51 Devastator: Just dropped from kaiju-com, and considering offering the empty slot to someone else.
03:46:06 ER: ...not sure we've seen any of those
03:46:57 Devastator: but you can't say there never will be any.
03:51:35 syv: I wonder what the advantages of Kaiju air units are.
03:51:54 Devastator: Actual dodge rolls, yeah.
03:52:11 Devastator: right now there are no dodge rolls. It's if they can bounce or soak the damage.
03:52:20 syv: Is this where I'll regret not spending money to get sensors for my planes?
03:53:18 Devastator: Sensors have uses, but you have to use them to do stuff with.
03:56:11 Devastator: Anyway, and it probably won't be too long from now, there will be a reason to want them even if you aren't using them to do something.
03:58:14 Devastator: It's ok, it isn't what you might think it is.
03:58:31 syv: Yeah, it's instead what I might not think it is.
03:59:14 ER: I have 8 prisoners. what should i do with them?
03:59:42 ER: guess I could mail them to
PW
04:04:32 Devastator: Some attacks might not work on flying kaiju, too.
04:04:42 Devastator: like you might have trouble getting within F range, say.
04:05:02 ER: you said that infanry can carry three weapons, right?
04:05:13 Devastator: but body armour and such usually takes up a slot.
04:05:45 ER: why don't they use 2x rocket launchers rather than rocket launchers + small arms?
04:06:15 Devastator: Multiple of the same thing is less effective than two different things.
04:06:19 Devastator: don't worry about it.
04:06:32 Devastator: basically, don't double-up on something in infantry.
04:07:05 ER: so tht means power armor uses a slot?
04:07:37 ER: is that still the case if power armor is part of the design?
04:08:09 Devastator: If you're designing catgirls from scratch, you lose the free equipment slots.
04:08:30 Devastator: if you're modifying them from humans, it'll take a slot.
04:08:41 Devastator: You can add extra slots to it.
04:08:43 ER: ah, they're modified humans
04:08:59 Devastator: then it'll take one for the catgirl modification, leaving them with two.
04:09:08 Devastator: if you add power armour explicitly to that, you could combine them.
04:09:16 Devastator: but then you can't do one or the other.
04:09:30 Devastator: you could also research both together in one go.
04:09:40 ER: why would I want non power armored catgirls
04:11:16 Devastator: I am not your mother.
04:11:21 Devastator: I'm not judging you there.
04:13:47 syv: Egan doesn't want naked catgirls,
Dev.
04:14:12 syv: In fact he'd rather them have no gender-specific anatomy at all.
04:14:22 ER: remember that time I joined your test game with a character with the description "naked catgirl"
04:14:23 syv: Sorta like traps, except sexless.
04:14:54 ER: no, I just wanted to be naked
04:16:55 ER: honestly, I visualize the nekohunters as being in bomb suits
04:17:02 ER: with grappling hooks and greatswords
04:18:19 syv: If I had my laptop open I'd shop your avatar onto that image.
04:35:29 syv: Sexy buddhist felines,
Dev.
04:35:51 syv: They'll corrupt the church from the inside.
04:36:05 syv: With... whatever evil stuff Buddhism preaches.

04:43:24 ER: ""r armor is part of the design?
04:43:24 ER: [00:07] <
Devastator> Depends.
04:43:47 Devastator: if you specifically say so, then yes.
04:43:52 Devastator: if you do them seperately, then no.
04:44:02 Piecewise has joined #einsteinianroulette
04:44:26 ER: guess I could just make the nekobutchers armor look like the armor from doom 2016
04:44:38 ER: rip and tear until it is done
04:44:52 Devastator: I take it the show's over, then?
04:46:31 Devastator: thought there was a bone zone show today.
04:47:07 ER: apparently had some connectivity issues? I wasn't there for the end
04:54:04 syv: Also, why'd you bring up flying units?
04:54:34 ER: we can buy G2A missiles for infantry... which only work on air units
04:54:35 syv: Ohh, forgot that wad a tab.
04:55:43 syv: The missiles are probably relatively awesome, considering SAMs are already by far the most efficient unit in the game.
04:56:37 Devastator: Actually, you'd know about them.
04:58:28 syv: Sadly they're not awesome.
04:58:43 syv: Possibly worse than artillery.
05:28:42 syv: Thoughts: Tough catgirls need a good weapon, but nobody's building infantry weapons I don't believe.
05:28:55 syv: Since catgirls are expensive, arming them with mad scientist weapons is cost effective.
05:29:05 syv: Mad science does better with base equipment to modify from.
05:29:18 syv: So those AA rockets might be a decent start.
05:29:28 syv: I also have a GAU 8, which also might work.
05:30:27 syv: Though, the AA missiles are mostly better for longer range.
05:30:37 syv: They may or may not be a damage buff.
05:30:48 syv: The GAU definitely is, but would need to be miniaturized.
05:30:55 ER: more shots to get off while we approach to RIP AND TEAR ITS GUTS
05:31:13 syv: And both are ranged weapons, when melee might actually be best for them.
05:31:55 syv: They're already durable and fast, so having them be targeted by melee attacks isn't bad, and maybe if they're climbing the damn kaiju they'll get more attention, serving better as tanks.
05:32:16 ER: wish I had the TK swords from that one captured kaiju...
05:33:02 Devastator: That's still not doing much of anything, BTW. Still imprisoned.
05:33:05 ER: what are the chances that if I have a MS design swords for me that the swords will eat souls?
05:33:22 Devastator: Depends on how long the MS works on it.
05:33:31 syv: Depends on whether you ask the MS to make the swords eat souls.
06:01:33 syv: Have a mad scientist make bigass swords for your catgirls, swords which heal them when they stab shit!
06:01:46 syv: Let's just pile ALL the defensive buffs on them, and then throw in healing too.
06:02:40 ER: blood drinking healing sword
06:06:14 syv: Hey, you're still gonna give them [flying], right?
06:06:24 syv: From being so jumpy that they count?
06:08:08 syv:
Dev said stomps do crazy high damage.
06:08:28 Devastator: you've mostly been lucky with them.
06:08:31 syv: hopefully the massive speed from [flier] can avoid those.
06:08:41 syv: Can kaiju even melee fliers?
06:10:03 Devastator: Although longer range makes it harder.
06:10:11 ER: request for bloodthirster swords posted
06:10:22 syv: ...Kaiju can melee beyond melee range?
06:10:41 syv: Without, like, moving to melee range...?
06:10:49 Devastator: That's how they do it.
06:11:04 Devastator: but they can do it in one turn because otherwise they'd never get to melee anything.
06:11:16 syv: Okay, so they can't melee fliers unless they can fly or the fliers close to melee?
06:11:29 Devastator: No, they don't need to fly to melee flyers, but close range helps.
06:11:50 syv: Why would fliers get to a low enough altitude to be in reach?
06:12:09 Devastator: Kaiju, at least strong kaiju, are really fast.

06:14:41 MidJag: welp, it's offical, online school has complely ruined my sleep schedule.
06:15:14 MidJag: ....which, I guess is kinda moot sense I don't really have to get up for anything anymore
06:16:36 Devastator: did someone play Daggerfall again?
06:16:44 MidJag: Yeah, I'm honestlly not even sure what day it is anymore
06:17:06 Devastator: It's 45 minutes to Sunday for me.
06:17:14 ER: Sounds like Whisperling wants to being back Ebony eventually
06:17:27 Devastator: I didn't get to do any arena fights yet.
06:17:37 MidJag: ah, it's 1 an hour into sunday for me
06:18:07 syv: We have all four of us once more!
06:18:11 MidJag: and hiya
dev, since I didn't respond
06:18:16 ER: it's a videogame apparently
06:18:20 Devastator: I think I poked Whisperling before.
06:18:33 ER: I thing I saw like a minute of the game on twitch
06:18:37 Devastator: No, it's a discord-based forum game I PMed him about.
06:18:51 Devastator: played through that.
06:19:39 MidJag: Hmm, seems, the main charecters have similiarlly well defined buttocks in the game art as well.
06:22:19 MidJag: Game seems neat actually
06:22:33 ER: I hope someone is willing to make blood drinking autohealing living demon swords for me
06:22:48 ER: there's more to life than fronts,
syv~
06:23:13 syv: Well yes, ideally both the front and back are good.
06:23:28 syv: But there's still priorities here.
06:23:31 MidJag: The fronts are okay, but nothing to write home about, they don't detract from the back at the very least.
06:30:52 Devastator: might be out of work, might be working, don't kow.
06:31:03 ER: wondering if I have an angle i can work at to continue my suggestion game
06:31:38 ER:
MJ, what's your secret for actually managing to update consistantly?
06:32:34 MidJag: I don't really have one? All I did was try to make it part of my schedule and not let myself sleep until I wrote the thing.
06:33:18 MidJag: ...Which could lower the writing quality to say the least, but it did end up getting writen.
06:35:01 syv: Daily updates are easier to keep up than weekly updates, which are easier to keep than monthly updates.
06:35:07 syv: And past that the game is dead.
06:35:09 MidJag: Yeah that helps as well.
06:39:18 MidJag: Also having a really simple system helps as well.
06:41:01 MidJag: MP's was dead simple, literally just roll some dice and figure out what happened based off like 6 outcomes and some stats to refer too. Sometimes you had to reduce ammo, or update someones status, but that wasn't too bad.
06:41:57 ER: yeah, I mean every system I've used for years amounts to "roll 3d6 then figure out what happens"
06:41:59 syv: TBH at the end I think the special sauce was "not being insecure about one's own work"
06:43:11 Devastator: I'm insecure about my work..
06:43:23 Devastator: but nah, you guys do good games. I suppose it wouldn' tmatter if you didn't care.
06:43:30 MidJag: Heh, That is definitely not the special sauce, I fully thought that every single thing I released was pretty terrible.
06:43:44 ER: but you released it anyways
06:44:01 MidJag: Yeah, because I needed to go to bed. :P
06:44:05 syv:
MJ, you can Mainpiston and be happy about reading it, right?
06:44:35 syv: Like, you enjoy going over the old scenes that happened?
06:45:42 MidJag: Kinda? I feel sastifaction that it was this big writing thing that I did and that people enjoyed, and I enjoy the scenes themselves, but reading the writing it self can be a bit painful when I see how awkward some of the sentences and such are, or that I could have improved some part or something.
06:46:11 MidJag: But in general yes? I enjoy seeing that I made a thing depsite it's flaws
06:46:23 syv: Yes, and you'll go back and look at it and enjoy doing so when there's no need to.
06:46:51 syv: I can't speak for Egan, but I have literally *begged* people to check old stuff in PS for me, because I hate reading it so much.
06:47:52 Devastator: I hate reading the stuff I write in all my games too.
06:48:04 ER: when I go back and check usually what I think is "I thought this was good enough to post at the time, but it's kinda shit"
06:48:15 Devastator: even RtStW, which had stuff I thought was pretty good.
06:48:39 MidJag: Ah, see, I hate having to read/edit my own writing, but I like my own ideas.
06:51:22 MidJag: Hmm, for some reason spotify keeps giving me covers of songs I like rather than the actual songs. Weir
06:51:34 syv: Yeah. I think we're using "hate" somewhat differently. I know for a fact that you've gone back and looked at MP stuff just because it came up in casual conversation, and then read out lines and said they were good. While, here, I avoid reading my own work like the plauge, because pretty much all of it makes me think "Fuck, this is shit, I am shit, I can't believe I let people *see* this."
06:52:13 MidJag: Ah, yes, then we are indeed using hate different.
06:52:35 ER: put pen to paper, begin screaming
06:52:36 syv: You seem to be more in the camp of "Oh, this is flawed, but that's understandable. It's still impressive I did this, and there's plenty of good parts."
06:52:48 syv: Which is like the exact opposite of insecurity.
06:54:54 MidJag: True, but regardless, both of you guys are much better GMs and writers then I am. I mean if I can put something that I like out there then you guys have nothing to be worried about. Which, I understand isn't really the problem, but I do feel like it needs to be said.
06:56:00 syv: I'd still trade all my skill for your confidence. :P
06:56:21 Devastator: then you'd write everything and it'd be terrible.
06:56:22 ER: why do I let these phantoms hurt me?
06:56:32 Devastator: only some skill, please. ;-p
06:57:08 ER: pumsy's seeds with maximum confidince minimum skill would be hilarious, at least
06:57:27 MidJag: Oh my god. That would be hilarious.
06:57:29 Devastator: I couldn't take it.
06:57:49 syv: That's just the magical girl game that's so big.
06:58:16 ER: yeah, that's the problem with GMs who post a lot
06:58:23 syv: Yeah, it's still the #4 thread on the forum.
06:58:30 ER: never have that problem with you!
06:59:35 Devastator: mostly because his stuff is good.
06:59:59 Devastator: and I mean, if it was shit I'd say so.
07:00:37 Devastator: There's stuff I could nitpick, but mostly it's just plain fun.
07:00:40 ER: and his player base even self-selects for patience!
07:00:53 MidJag: Natural selection at work :P
07:01:52 syv: Paging through this thread, I quickly find borderline ERP.
07:02:09 Devastator: the everyone must become a magical girl thread? Yeah, it's got issues.
07:02:11 MidJag: What game is this eveb?
07:02:21 syv: Which is the precise reason only girls make wishes in PS.
07:02:33 Devastator: It's the thread that kept me away from forum games on this site for years.
07:02:36 MidJag: I'm not even sure I've heard of this.
07:02:47 ER: "rise of the magical girls"?
07:03:25 MidJag: huh, never heard of it.
07:03:35 syv: Also there's lots of dudes.
07:03:37 MidJag: Well before my time I suppose.
07:04:15 MidJag: also I won't I only had the stamina to read one gigantic forum game and that was
ER.
07:04:31 ER: I haven't even read all of
ER
07:04:42 ER: not really worth going back for me
07:04:53 syv: Is there even a GM in this game?
07:04:56 Devastator: I couldn't take it near the end.
07:04:59 syv: I've yet to see even an actionpost.
07:05:22 Devastator: but I did read everything before signing up.
07:05:58 MidJag: REading
ER from the begining was confusing because I had to have 3 tabs open and jump between IC ship, OC chatter and the mission thread so I could have some idea what was happening.
07:06:08 MidJag: And it got more so as more missions started happening.
07:06:22 ER: one reason why I hate OOC threads :V
07:06:32 Devastator: Fortunately, each golem only has two arms, and unlike proper super robots they don't return once they've been shot off.
07:06:45 syv: Remember the evacuation/invasion mission?
07:07:11 syv: Where there were not only like four different threads, and an OOC thread for all, but ALSO a single "radio chatter" thread?
07:07:12 ER: evacuation... was that the one where I was Gordon Freeman?
07:07:26 MidJag: I need like one more detail, there were a lot of eveacutations.
07:07:40 syv: It was one of the very last missions.
07:07:51 MidJag: Oh, one the water planet.
07:07:53 Devastator: it was the mission where
RC wouldn't tell me what the actual goal was.
07:07:56 ER: yeah, I'm glad that
PW now runs four decent sized games rather than one doom mega oversized game of the apocalypse
07:08:00 Devastator: probably because it was something stupid.
07:08:12 MidJag: I was actually there for that one.
07:08:30 syv: I was happy sitting on Hephaestus, engaging in tinker wankery.
07:08:31 MidJag: That one wasn't bad because I was alrady caught up on everything and acgtivelly playing the game.
07:08:43 syv: But I had barely any clue what was going on.
07:08:44 Devastator: Well, we're a diversonary force, the newbies are evacuating people nobody cares about, the support group is doing support, and the infiltration group is failing.
07:08:50 Devastator: "So what's the goal?"
07:08:56 ER: though mook is now to the same point as
ER, where I feel like if I join as a grunt I probably will be overall ignored and not have fun
07:09:04 syv: I cared about them slightly, they were supposed to be useful test subjects.
07:09:04 ER: ironic, given it's called mook
07:09:09 Devastator: Yeah, a reason why I got out of it.
07:09:11 MidJag: I had fun as a grunt in
ER.
07:09:17 Devastator: you had infinite subjects already..
07:09:30 Devastator: or didn't rejoin after getting TPKed.
07:09:32 syv: Doesn'r mean I couldn't enjoy getting more.
07:09:34 Devastator: it was getting way too close to
ER.
07:09:35 MidJag: I mean I turned into a crystal monster pretty quicklly, but that's still grunty.
07:09:37 syv: Also, they were all sods before that.
07:09:51 Devastator: of course you're a crystal monster, that's everyone in
PW"s games right now. ;-p
07:10:08 syv: Mook isn't really to that point yet, either. It helps that there's a stat cap, and weapons and armor are very expensive.
07:10:11 MidJag: Is everyone a crystal monster in mook?
07:10:16 Devastator: Nah, you had real people from the other get people missions and the conquered planets.
07:10:32 syv: We've only got one top-end deathtube, and no serious armor.
07:10:43 Devastator: Kinda is, due to being able to purchase immortality.
07:10:45 syv: And you can start with close to max stats.
07:10:52 syv:
ER started with that,
Dev.
07:10:54 ER: much more fun to be in Cabal, a game with more interested concepts than his other games which few people play with a stupid giant world where I can do my own shit
07:10:54 MidJag: I was about to say, I might need to join if we have another doomed crystal race that needs resurecting
07:11:09 Devastator: Nah it didn't start with that, that became a thing about halfway through.
07:11:13 Devastator: yeah, I like that
ER.
07:11:25 Devastator:
MJ did join Cabal, he just doesn't do turns in it.
07:11:34 Devastator: it's why I'm playing Cabal, lets me do my own thing.
07:11:37 syv: Literally in the very first mission a guy got killed three times over and walked it off.
07:11:52 Devastator: we had that argument before, anyway. ;-p
07:11:55 MidJag: That's true, I'm still technically in Cabal. :P
07:11:58 Devastator: you know my PoV there.
07:12:05 Devastator: and yeah, should play that some more
MJ.
07:12:47 syv: There wasn't even a permadeath until the third mission!
07:12:55 ER: I should make friends with
MJ in Cabal, because my current friends are inevitably going to walk the path of daaaaarknes
07:13:25 MidJag: I dunno, I feel some incredible urge to read through games completly before joining them and I'm just not sure I have time to do that. if I jump in largelly cold will I have no idea what's going on?
07:13:38 Devastator: I mean no offense, but I really don't want to have a law enforcement agent along with me.
07:13:43 Devastator: it's pretty good that way.
07:13:44 ER: just ask lots of questions. :P
07:13:49 Devastator: we can fill you in.
07:14:03 Devastator: so I'm up for Zavi leaving anytime.
07:14:27 ER: you should be Zavirus's freind and not Saeko's freind,
MidJag
07:14:43 Devastator: I'd say saeko will be stronger, but I'm not sure.
07:14:52 Devastator: I mean, I don't usually go fast on the whole powergain train.
07:15:14 ER: I'm going to meet God and he's going to make me his Knight
07:15:35 ER: and Saeko is going to become Lavos
07:15:59 ER: And Ekrov is going to be akward
07:16:20 Devastator: dunno, doesn't Lavos have like zero limbs?
07:18:42 Devastator: is that two or four?
07:18:46 Devastator: either way, not really enough.
07:21:32 ER: It would be nice to have another player to interact with. Leng is the same faction, but probably not overlapping duties with me.
07:22:15 ER: unless she diagnoses something with "send in the heavies"
07:24:04 syv: I could see her using it, too, though she really has no need.
07:24:10 Devastator: well, Zavi and
RC are both on the magebreaker path.
07:24:15 Devastator: that sword can beat anyone.
07:24:16 MidJag: Send in hte heavies is a very good diagnosis in general. Hard to go wrong with it :P
07:26:42 ER: I can feed my sword 1d10 mana, which makes it do both a melee attack and a ranged attack, which both do d20 damage whcih stacks if both attacks hit
07:27:10 ER: and that's not the limit to how much mana I can use
07:27:41 Devastator: Yeah, same thing as Zavi, a recruit.
07:27:44 ER: they seem to break the law pretty often
07:27:44 syv: I thought he was being a cutthroat rogue adventurer.
07:27:47 Devastator: along with birdperson.
07:27:58 Devastator: Might have it wrong.
07:28:18 ER: yeah, I don't know what they're up to but I don't think it's that
07:28:51 MidJag has left #einsteinianroulette
07:36:05 syv: I've looked already. Didn't find anything.
07:36:16 syv: Could look again, not sure if it was on Steam last time.
07:43:08 syv: Well, it's not on any of the pirate bay mirror sites.
07:43:37 syv: There's a "Campaign Cartographer 3", but it looks like something different.
07:44:54 Devastator: hexographer is free..
07:45:00 Devastator: I think that's the name.
07:49:45 syv: I did find an angry rant by a guy about how Yifi is the worst thing ever and should only be viewed by idiots with entirely terrible eyesight
07:52:40 syv: Yeah, not finding grid cartographer on any sites at all.
07:52:48 syv: Guess it's just too niche.
07:53:59 ER: "should only be viewed by idiots with entirely terrible eyesight"
07:54:31 syv: Ask Dubs if it has DRM. If it can be shared, I'll buy it and give it to you.
07:54:52 syv: Or. Hmm. Can you link already existing accounts as family accounts?
07:55:09 syv: If I adopted you I guess then we could share regardless of DRM.
07:55:25 ER: think that needs logging in to that compute
08:00:29 ER: now PS will involve g r i d s
08:01:13 syv: I'll still just use paint.net to draw crappy maps.
08:01:53 syv: I don't want you people to start expecting quality from me, and grids don't work for PS anyway.
08:02:06 Devastator: was going to offer to look for a stadium map..
08:02:14 Devastator: but you wouldn't want one.
08:02:18 syv: I wouldn't mind that at all.
08:02:29 syv: It probably wouldn't work for this labyrinth, but it might.
08:16:56 ER: one small issue is that modern jousting stadiums don't exist to my knowledge
08:17:31 Devastator: dirt in the middle and bring in horses.
08:17:42 syv: This stadium has already been stated to have been repurposed from some other sports stadium.
08:18:41 syv: I don't know what, and I don't want to think about it, but it makes sense to me. There's money in the sport, and if it's offseason for whatever they normally do, makes sense to me that they'd be willing to repurpose the stadium for something else. Money.
08:18:50 Devastator: I like how the horses give no fucks.
08:19:05 Devastator: even onseason if the sports play on different days is possible.
08:19:21 Devastator: lots of hockey stadiums with basketball in them, and they run at the same time.
08:19:44 Devastator: one needs ice and one needs a hardwood floor..
08:19:46 syv: Do they bring in a fake floor, or melt the ice, or, what?
08:20:08 Devastator: I think they just melt the ice and lay floor on the concrete.
08:20:18 Devastator: Nah, that'd make it a pain to paint.
08:21:28 Devastator: they put a layer of plywood down and then build the court on top of it.
08:21:33 Devastator: ice stays there all year.
08:21:57 Devastator: probably having a pretty cool floor is good for the basketball too.
08:27:40 Devastator: although that doesn't look like plywood, must be somethign else.
08:28:06 ER: because I need my doseage of ninja swords
08:28:26 syv: So they DO just lay floor on the ice.
08:28:57 Devastator: Yeah, looks like it.
08:29:29 ER: oh no, I'm going to be doing melee attacks with buttons other than the triggers
08:29:41 ER: dark souls has not trained me for this
08:29:59 syv: Haven't actually tested it with a controller.
08:41:09 ER: YES, YES! SPLIT IT WIDE OPEN!
08:51:46 ER: it yearns to bathe int he blood of your enemies, but you hold it back!
08:53:47 Devastator: "Speaking of which: My second dissection lab is up, and I have one turn remaining on researching Giant Hangars that can only support aquatic units. This will allow me to finally store my fancy terrible submarine which I intend to pay deranged eggheads to upgrade."
08:54:09 Devastator: I am glad I decided to make k-com, as much as the complexity causes me pain.
09:18:25 ER: "I possess an intellect far beyond human reckoning"
09:18:47 ER: "Okay then, what's the meaning of life? why are we here?"
09:20:38 Devastator: Hey, it's a video game.

19:13:52 Devastator: Cabal today,
Piecewise?
19:19:32 Devastator: I'll try to rein him in a bit.
19:35:48 Devastator: "It does look a little like he's being twin chestbursted by giant robot worms."
19:36:49 Devastator: I gave the crew orders when I left.
19:37:50 Devastator: didn't bold it though.
19:39:08 Piecewise: you rolled well for the coming back order
19:39:58 Devastator: just annoyed at seeing the line about no orders. They did fine.
19:47:37 Devastator: Mmm, to try and dig into the palace, or just try to brute force that wall down.
19:50:00 Piecewise: the third option is finding the key
19:51:37 Devastator: thinking about how to scry for it.
19:52:01 Devastator: probably see if Benny is up for some digging, although I don't know if he'll do it.
19:52:10 Devastator: and do some scrying.
19:53:49 Devastator: Can Saeko tell how much free mana is in someone?
19:54:12 Devastator: that is, how much can be taken safely?
19:55:57 Devastator: yeah, I'll talk about how to scry with
ER and
syv today. Had some ideas, but they might have some too.

20:05:29 RadioControlled: Good evening you budding fascist dictators.
20:08:20 RadioControlled: I'm ok. All cooped up of course.
20:08:25 RadioControlled: How about you?
20:09:12 Devastator: Not sure if I'll be employed from now on, but technically I work for a laundry company, so might not be allowed to close.
20:10:07 RadioControlled: Hopefully you can stay with that job, or at least get some sort of 'sick' leave?
20:10:47 RadioControlled: Not sure if laundry really counts as a critical service though.
20:11:09 Devastator: Cleaning clothes and cloths and such can be important in a pandemic..
20:11:21 Devastator: but I'm at an industrial laundry, not a civilian one.
20:11:47 Devastator: so we do 90% of our work for work camps and restaurants.
20:11:59 Devastator: but the remaining 10% are for mechanics shops and meat packing plants.
20:13:00 RadioControlled: Skeleton crew then I guess?
20:13:18 RadioControlled: With plastic gloves and everything.
20:13:33 Devastator: but yeah, possibly.
20:13:51 RadioControlled: A lot of cases in your neck of the woods already?
20:14:02 Devastator: Not that many, but it's inevitable really.
20:14:19 Devastator: people are taking it properly though.
20:17:00 RadioControlled: Oop, the game is starting.
20:17:02 RadioControlled: See you in a bit.
20:40:23 Devastator: Finished getting K-com rolling again, and that took some effor.t
21:39:54 Devastator: wonder what
RadioControlled is watching or playing.
21:55:04 Devastator: welp, there goes an hour.
22:42:06 RadioControlled: We were playing Secret Hitler.
22:42:43 RadioControlled: Was pretty fun, though we spent like an hour to learn the system.
22:42:55 RadioControlled: I managed to shoot a fascist!
22:43:15 RadioControlled: Also, I read the last turn of your game, was pretty fun.
22:43:47 Devastator: The battle of new york?
22:43:55 Devastator: I messed up a bit there.
22:44:04 Devastator: that Kaiju should have had a more potent weapon.
22:44:33 Devastator: Next one's harder. ;-p
22:49:04 RadioControlled: Yeah, this one seemed weaker than that last one, the one they couldn't finish.
22:49:19 RadioControlled: Or maybe they were just better equipped this time, I dunno.
22:49:52 RadioControlled: I do get the feeling those one-time mad science projects are pretty powerful, but kinda one-use if they just lose them afterwards.
22:49:56 Devastator: The jets were kinda needed.
22:50:11 Devastator: without them casulties would have been worse. They did some solid damage.
22:50:24 RadioControlled: So I can imagine the same fight but without the npc or hovercar support would have been very different.
22:50:28 Devastator: next time.. tougher Kaiju and no jets..
22:50:41 Devastator: Without both of those it'd probably have wiped them out.
22:50:46 Devastator: weaker weapon and all.
22:51:22 RadioControlled: I do get the feeling the players are still mostly just using basic equipment overall.
22:51:55 RadioControlled: Apart from the occasional mad science monkey wrench, just normal/outdated tech with maybe some small upgrades here and there.
22:52:40 Devastator: those force fields are pretty good.
22:52:45 Devastator: and yeah, to a degree.
22:52:51 Devastator: though
syv has cheap jets, which are useful.
22:53:01 Devastator: and some stuff is going to come out of the cooker before too much longer.
22:55:37 RadioControlled: Yeah. Still, I had expected things would start getting more sci-fi/weird a bit faster, though having a gradual ramping up of more fantastical tech (with mad science stuff being like a sort of glimpse into the future) is neat as well.
22:55:50 Devastator: Eh, you know how I'm not about fast.
22:55:53 RadioControlled: Assuming the game lasts long enough to get to the funky parts, mind.
22:56:07 Devastator: Things will be getting good soon.
22:56:13 Devastator: there's also low hanging fruit nobody has gone for yet.
22:56:52 RadioControlled: Is the amount of player co-ordination about what you expected?
22:57:17 Devastator: It's pretty good actually.
22:57:26 Devastator: I like seeing people talking to each other.
22:57:44 Devastator: Makes me glad at how I gauged the way the challenge ramps out.
22:57:48 Devastator: but the next kaiju..
22:57:51 Devastator: I think it'll be bad on them.
22:58:09 RadioControlled: I think they could be doing more to coordinate if they wanted to, but also haven't seen much antagonistic stuff yet, so there's still room for it to go either way.
22:59:18 RadioControlled: Unless there's been skullduggery over pm and such, I suppose.
22:59:59 RadioControlled: Welp, I should get going, should try to get some more done tomorrow than what I managed today.
23:00:09 RadioControlled: See you next time, was nice talking for a bit.
