01:26:00 ER: sorry to disappoint you, beat it first try while streaming
01:26:10 Piecewise__: inevitable, isn't it?
01:27:14 Piecewise__: do you really have no tools other than the firecrackers?
01:27:14 ER: restoring vitality on deathblow is so fucking good
01:27:46 ER: but those were the only ones I found useful for the bull
01:28:21 ER: and this way if I hit triangle by mistake I won't fuck things up
01:29:06 ER: oof, this lags a bit extra when streaming
01:29:16 ER: might have to turn it down to ugly shadows mode
01:29:59 Piecewise__: Turn it to no shadows mode

01:59:45 Devastator: Looks like one die.
02:00:05 ER: ah, guess
PW fucking forgot
02:00:34 syv has joined #einsteinianroulette
02:04:35 Devastator: I see
NJW stopped by.
02:05:41 ER: oh,
PW only did one roll for my thing as well.
02:06:03 Devastator: well, I got charged for two..
02:06:59 syv:
Piecewise__ Please don't tell me what it is if you know, but did you ever find the last prosthesis?
02:06:59 ER: I killed the bull, then the power kinda went out and I closed it, now I'm distracted by arcane fuckery
02:07:19 syv: Ah. Next area past the bull is pretty good.
02:07:28 Piecewise__: It was in a place I forgot to check.
02:07:33 Devastator: also, did I get two rolls in AF?
02:07:41 Devastator: for paying for a spell at advantage?
02:07:44 syv: Is it obvious and just late, or is it really hidden somewhere weird?
02:07:54 Piecewise__: yes, since you did it at advantage
02:08:08 Devastator: so.. that means three consecutive ones, right?
02:08:43 Piecewise__: ya got that good luck
02:08:57 Devastator: Never shoulda joined it, dammit.
02:09:27 ER: could you show the rolls for mana cost and advantage/disadvantage, please?
02:10:09 syv: Isn't this what you like,
Dev? Playing things where you're just stabbed in the foot constantly and have to struggle against an extremely unfair system, like one where you have luck like this?
02:12:53 ER:
Piecewise__ tell me how much mana we get this turn.
02:12:57 Devastator: Nah. There are spells I could cast where ones would be fine.
02:13:53 Devastator: I'm just annoyed because I should have taken a sphere where ones would be okay.
02:14:05 Devastator: and now I gotta wait another three turns to get my next one. '=[
02:14:18 Devastator: Explosions would be good for that..
02:14:26 Devastator: you get a 1, you make something useful.
02:15:44 Devastator: That said, might as well go for that, then.
02:18:33 Devastator: What are angry elves on the map?
02:18:44 Devastator: The miscast? That's not where I was..
02:19:16 ER: a sphere where ones are good would be op given that you can roll disadvantage at half cost.
02:19:28 Devastator: Well, def doing that, then.
02:20:02 Devastator: There are things useful for that even with Industry, even if explosions or plants or such would be better.
02:20:20 Devastator: the issue being that finding at least one one on 2d6 still isnt' that good odds.
02:20:57 Devastator: The miscast should be for the space directly north of my tower.
02:30:32 syv: So I beat Genichiro today. Was using my laptop to watch shows with my father, and he was curious about the game I'd been talking about, so I loaded it up and fought the boss I'd been working on. Did terrible for the first ~two thirds of the fight, lost my revive and all heals, and then suddenly got good and defeated him, twice perfectly parrying an attack I'd never even avoided before.
02:31:18 syv: Also, Genichiro is apparently also uses "The lightning of Tomoe", which made me laugh when he said it with absolute seriousness.
02:31:27 ER: having an audience might actually help.
02:31:58 syv: Maybe. When I ran out of heals I felt embarrassed, and *really* didn't want to die.
02:32:13 syv: Still only won by the skin of my teeth, had like 10% HP left.
02:32:44 Devastator: okay, that's my attempt at making a spell where a 1 isn't useless.
02:32:51 Devastator: so here comes the 2.
02:36:43 syv: "Choice: Do you break the Iron Code or obey it?" "Break it." "You can't do that, try again."
02:37:10 syv: It's not a linear story because I have choices, even if I can only select one. /s
02:37:54 ER: "fuck you I've told you like 5 times you have to follow the fucking iron code so suck it up"
02:39:29 Devastator: Also, I hope to have enough mana to attempt to summon some LSD next turn.
02:39:42 Devastator: drug the elves and see if that gets them to betray themselves.
02:39:55 ER: just summon LSD at disadvantage
02:40:22 Devastator: I might. Anti-LSD would be okay..
02:42:40 syv: Also the "Break the Iron Code" option basically just is the same as the other option, just with more whinging before Wolf relents.
02:42:51 ER: you know, it's alluded to a bunch of times that Ashina is about to have a war, but it's never really said who they'll be fighting.
02:43:13 syv: Yeah, that's something that I've been wondering.
02:43:38 ER: or why they're so sure that they'll need to fight.
02:44:01 syv: You butcher hundreds of their troops, and they're clearly supposed to be the villains, but, like, there's not much that's been shown to explain why they're bad...?
02:44:16 syv: There's been no obligatory warcrimes so far.
02:44:46 ER: they're the bad guys because they've captured your master and the IRON CODE says you gotta protect him.
02:44:54 syv: At best you've got people pursuing immortality... for the pretty solid reason of defending their country.
02:45:14 ER: the Hirata bandits have a bunch of obligatory warcrimes.
02:45:39 syv: Some of the areas past Ashina seem like there's some serious evil, but then they're less clearly Ashina-vassals, seeming more like allies or entirely different factions.
02:45:50 syv: And they're actually fighting with Ashina people!
02:46:16 syv: That samurai bro who helps with Jozou? Ashina! The wounded Tengu who explains what's going on and asks you to help? Ashina!
02:46:23 ER: and the hirata bandit enemies also look more grotesque than ashina soliders in my opinion.
02:46:42 syv: Yes. And they drop more money for unfathomable reasons.
02:47:13 ER: well, they ARE in pretty close prozimity to looting oppertunities.
02:47:59 ER: they're probably usually broke and currently making a killing
02:48:12 syv: But they're largely weaker and more numerous, making Hirata pretty much THE place for farming gold, at least early on. Which I guess might *be* the purpose, but still, weird.
02:48:49 ER: whereas ashina soldiers presumably aren't paid a bunch.
03:03:23 ER: hm. it's stated that the bandits at hirata wouldn't have stood a chance if the hirata soliders weren't off fighting, but the bandits don't seem much weaker than ashina forces.
03:04:14 syv: They're weaker than the proper strong guys. No ogres, no generals (aside from Jozuo), and none of the quickdraw elites.
03:04:38 syv: No ninjas or cannons either.
03:04:58 ER: yeah, I guess that the archers would lose to gun guys too
03:05:07 syv: The grunts are about 1-to-1, maybe a bit in the bandit's favor, but otherwise Ashina is way more powerful, and actually more numerous.
03:05:29 ER: they do have one big fat club dude
03:05:41 syv: I think the archers and gunners are actually identical, aside from the archers also dealing fire buildup.
03:06:13 ER: bullet probably move faster?
03:06:14 syv: ...Ah, yeah, they do. On the bridge. And there's a couple spearmen who're working with them for some reason too.
03:06:36 syv: Maybe? I'm not sure. Both move slower than even real world arrows.
03:06:41 ER: and rifle guys can actually block, which I think is why it took three charged shurikin to kill a rifle and only two to kill a bow
03:07:45 ER: oh, but archers will actually draw a sword if you get up close, while riflemen are just eternally helpless.
03:08:19 syv: Yes. And riflemen blocks are some of the weakest.
03:10:14 Piecewise__: oh I found out an axless way to kill shielding guys
03:11:00 Piecewise__: strike them and they do a very quick counter shove with their shield. if you perfect parry that, it does either massive posture damage or straight up breaks their posture all at once
03:11:40 ER: tried that a few times but never landed it
03:11:49 Piecewise__: its a very quick return
03:11:53 ER: how do you deal with hat guys though?
03:12:40 syv: Ah. Yeah, I tried that and it worked once, but axe is way easier.
03:12:52 syv: I think you can just stab them? Some attacks hit them.
03:13:08 Piecewise__: they're a pain but there's a few ways. The most effective is to counter an attack and strike once.
03:13:16 Piecewise__: they leave themselves open after an attack
03:13:29 Piecewise__: you do kind of have to whittle them down though
03:13:41 Piecewise__: alternatively, bait their grab, dodge it, wail on them
03:14:44 Piecewise__: Ax does big posture damage and hyperarmor's through shit
03:14:55 Piecewise__: (I think the hyperarmor is an upgrade?)
03:15:13 Piecewise__: you eventually cut their hat in half
03:15:56 ER: nah, axe gets hyperarmor always
03:16:24 ER: the description says you poise through attacks because it's just that fuckoff heavy.
03:16:47 ER: I've been cutting their hats in half with one strike, really.
03:20:15 ER: tool upgrades really don't cost a lot of money, I run out of materials much faster than money.
03:20:22 syv: That random shaman guy in the bottomless pit, who spawns tons and tons of terror orbs, does he have vulnerability to anything? Because he has just way too much HP and fighting him is so slow, constantly dodging orbs.
03:20:41 syv: Same, materials are the problem. Merchants seem to unlock them as you go on though.
03:21:18 syv: Phantom kunai are annoying, since they require three lumps of fat, and that's apparently a rare endgame resource.
03:21:36 syv: First merchant sells them, can't use them until the last third of the game.

03:30:16 Piecewise_: did you kill a headless yet?
03:30:24 Piecewise_: if not, give it a try
03:30:46 Devastator: Ryukahr is as good at Sekiro as he is at everything else, damn.
03:30:52 Devastator: (since I can't see any of you guys play.)
03:30:55 Piecewise_: They jam their hands up your ass
03:32:03 Devastator: it did take him several minutes to figure out how to loot bodies.
03:32:22 syv: I tried to fight one without using confetti.
03:32:48 syv: It was pretty absurd, harder than any of the bosses I've seen.
03:33:10 ER: hmm, so people with the dragonrot don't get the dragonrot in the *past*
03:33:17 syv: It took me most of the first level to figure out how to loot people.
03:33:49 ER: I knew how to loot people because vatti told me before the game came out
03:34:07 ER: but also I tend to read tutorial text pretty closely
03:34:53 syv: I have a habit of accidentally skipping a lot of things. Especially speech because people talk far too slowly.
03:35:58 Devastator: It also looks like I shouldn't play it. Too brown.
03:37:45 syv: Yes. There is a lot of brown.
03:37:45 Devastator: too bad, the mechanics look very interesting.
03:38:48 syv: Eh. I'd still suggest you do DaS 2 before Sekiro.
03:38:58 syv: DaS 2 is pretty brown too, though.
03:39:03 Piecewise_: >Sekiro has a lot of brown
03:39:09 Piecewise_: Those eyes are pretty bad eh
dev?
03:39:46 Devastator: Maybe it changes in later areas. I mean, there's white, but I can only half make out the enemy animations.
03:40:38 ER: hmm. does select do anything in this game?
03:41:12 ER: in games like this you kinda expect every button to do *something*, but it looks like this is a selectless game
03:41:24 syv: His entire outfit is just shades of browns with a little black thrown in.
03:42:03 syv: I see a little red, but no, that really doesn't look orange to me.
03:42:25 syv: ...I'm a bit colorblind though, so maybe I shouldn't argue this. >.>
03:43:14 syv: There's one green forest, yes, but it's very muted.
03:43:49 ER: his coat is definately mostly orange
03:43:53 Devastator: Yeah.. that's still suprisingly brown for the green forest.
03:44:13 Piecewise_: I'd post something but its a spoiler for these two slowpokes
03:44:16 Devastator: and that second one, brown on brown.
03:44:31 Devastator: with brown buildings and brown dirt.
03:44:35 syv: "Muted" is a good term to describe most of the colors, really. Hirata is in the middle of the night, so very dark, with lots of brown buildings, sometimes illuminated by fire. There's a lot of dark graybrown caves in the rest of the world, a snow area where it's mostly muted white with bits of green, a castle that's brown and gray, a dark forest that's muddy green brown (and still dark)...
03:45:04 syv: I don't mind at all, but Sekiro is *not* a vibrant game.
03:45:28 syv: It's not nearly as terrible as many of the truebrown games though.
03:45:35 Devastator: I can't do Sekiro anyway, my computer can probably not run it.
03:45:38 Devastator: Yeah, the sky isn't brown.
03:45:47 Piecewise_:
Dev do you just not have good color differentiation?
03:46:05 Piecewise_: like can you not make out gradients well?
03:46:55 Devastator: I can make out gradients extremely well, actually. It's just that all these colours are muted.
03:47:46 syv: It's gradients of brown...
03:47:56 Piecewise_: sure there's an overall hue of orangeish brown but there's a lot of different colors in there
03:48:10 Devastator: I mean, yeah, his coat isn't quite the same brown as the grass, which isn't quite the same brown as the tree, which isn't quite the same brown as the grass..
03:48:20 Devastator: but it's still like someone color-tuned it.
03:48:49 ER: just fought a fat guy using a giant bell
03:49:02 syv: Ehh. I wouldn't say it's color tuned. I'd say it's just not going for vibrancy, it's trying to be grittier than that.
03:49:08 Piecewise_: Keep in mind two things
03:49:36 Piecewise_: 1. There's a daylight change that happens over the course of the game, which can make things look hazy orange
03:49:56 Devastator: now there we go, there's some not-brown.
03:50:09 syv: That picture is terrible palette wise.
03:50:20 Devastator: still about 10% of the pallet wheel, though.
03:50:22 Piecewise_: 2. there is actually a weather change too
03:50:29 syv: It's red and brown and looks like it was taken during a dust storm.
03:50:46 Devastator: so it's intentional.
03:52:13 Devastator: to make the changes in environment pop more.
03:53:35 Devastator: mm, well, some red and some green, ok.
03:54:36 Devastator: maybe the youtube quality makes it worse.
03:56:19 ER: I mean, it's certainly more colorful than DS3 and you played that
03:56:19 Devastator: "Despite all this fire, my clothes show no sign of lighting differences."
03:56:29 Piecewise_:
Er and
Sy don't look at this one
03:56:42 Devastator: Ahh, there's the missing colour.
03:56:43 syv: Oh, I do have to say that the flaming roof room was a startling and excellent thing.
03:57:43 syv: Not looking at that one because I was told not to, but I also want to note that ALL the pictures
PW linked with green/red trees was from a single area. It'd be like arguing that Dark Souls was dark and murky green by linking a bunch of pictures of Blighttown.
03:58:09 Devastator: besides, I'm biased a bit.
03:58:42 ER:
syv and
dev have malfunctioning eyes
03:59:27 syv: Sekiro could be more colorful though.
04:00:20 syv: Again, I'm not complaining, I think it's fine. But it is very muted as far as color palette. Not terrible, just... not at all artistic or anything. Very mundane.
04:01:00 ER: kittens wrestling in my room while I play as a murder ninja
04:04:54 ER: star trec references. I didn't have any part in the naming.
04:05:13 syv: I recognize Crusher of course, but Odo?
04:05:54 Devastator: They had a shapeshifter as security chief.
04:06:42 ER: also, "abandoned dungeon" might be the place to look for ashina's obligatory warcrimes. :P
04:08:15 syv: Surprisingly, not the worst place.
04:09:22 ER: yeah, but you find pacifying agent there and the description implies that it's used by people who have to do or witness terrible things
04:16:02 Devastator: ahh, bomberbird eggs.
04:16:13 Piecewise_: the dirty shit is...elsewhere
04:18:40 ER: says it gives you redeyes, which I assume means lowered fire resistance as well
04:22:03 ER: just leveled up by killing a cricket
04:23:50 ER: oh yeah, loot you find on the ground here is a drug that helps you deal with trumatic expereinces and a drug for killing yourself.
04:23:57 ER: this is totally a great place.
04:25:02 Piecewise_: I've only ever used a bite down once
04:25:59 Piecewise_: Its too bad we don't have the equivalent of a red tearstone ring in this
04:26:29 Piecewise_: though there is a candy that acts like power within
04:27:14 Devastator: ..You know, that discussion reminds me of complaining about Skyrim using simple color filters to make things look 'different' I'd say that they just made everything look green, and everyone responded as if I'm from mars and this is totally different, despite being exactly the same textures, just with a different filter on it.
04:28:13 ER: are you claiming that you are not, in fact, from mars?
04:28:37 Devastator: No, I am not from mars.
04:28:46 Devastator: If I were to be from mars, I'd be used to everything being red.
04:31:18 Devastator: Clearly, I'm from Neptune. ;-p
04:32:59 ER: hmm, seems that big fat guy with bell is unable to step into the dungeon itself
04:33:11 ER: was able to lure him pretty far though.
04:33:49 ER: but I guess that's not the intended solution to the surgeon's quest :P
04:35:22 ER: the arbatrary limit past which he cannot step made him pretty easy to kill though~
04:35:41 Devastator: A ninja be dishonourable?
04:38:04 ER: the note he gave me says "required: 1 tough man. Preferably a strong samurai, or a young, large soldier such as a member of the taro troop"
04:38:39 ER: bell guy was previously stated to be a member of the taro troop by some dudes you can evesdrop on.
04:39:09 ER: oh, it also says "must be delivered unharmed"
04:39:47 ER: so I was actually pretty sure that leading the guy into the dungeon would work...
04:49:14 ER: and I'm being told by a tapestry that the monks here have been seduced by the promise of immortality
04:49:43 ER: wolf doesn't seem extremely bothered by this, so I assume it's just a thing that happens to him sometimes
04:57:10 ER: so I guess I can start using those :P
05:02:27 ER: I like the occasional bird nests on roofs with coin purses in them
05:03:22 syv: In Sengoku Japan, the birds are richer than the peasants.
05:04:48 Piecewise_: sengoku japan was that one time japan went full grimdark
05:05:30 Piecewise_: as opposed to the current silliness
05:06:28 syv: It seems to be their pet favorite period of history, though?
05:08:23 Piecewise_: Its a good period for conflict
05:08:31 Piecewise_: lots of famous larger than life figures
05:09:02 Devastator: hundreds of years of civil wars?
05:09:50 ER: at least sekiro treats it as the major bummer of a time period it is :P
05:10:18 Piecewise_: and now we have this
05:15:46 syv: Gaaah, Corrupted Monk is quite the endurance fight.
05:19:08 syv: That looks cute, but the fact that it says a devil falls in love with a dude, and that said dude needs to kneel to be at eye level with her, worries me.
05:19:41 Piecewise_: I've read through all of it so far and while she has a crush on him, he seems to be completely platonic and fatherly with her
05:20:00 syv: Oh? Okay then, that sounds nice.
05:21:31 syv: I have unlocked holding my breath, yay.
05:21:39 ER: there's an enemy here that just gets back up when you kill it, so I can use it to fully restore vitality by deathblowing it repeatedly
05:23:32 Devastator: What's that one about?
05:24:03 Devastator: ahh, yandere for yandere.
05:24:06 Devastator: well, that'll be fucked up.
05:25:37 Devastator: Also, she could be a reference for Nan's hair.
05:25:42 ER: what are bandits doing here?
05:26:01 syv: What, did you think Ashina supports evil heretic monks?
05:26:37 Devastator: Are there any other kinds?
05:26:56 syv: Yes, but they're all useless.
05:27:01 ER: no, but I didn't expect evil heretic monks to hire mercenaries, given that they're pretty good at fighting themselves
05:30:40 Piecewise_: I still wonder what the DLC for this game will be
05:31:08 ER: honestly, I hope for a different playable character
05:31:25 ER: like the DLC for dishonored and metal gear rising
05:31:47 Devastator: non-brown clothing.
05:34:15 ER: do I want to get an upgraded spear now, or save for upgraded flame vent?
05:34:45 ER: spear lets me rush, flame lets me do a REALLY BIG flame if I hold it
05:35:05 ER: and hey I like some Great Combustion action :V
05:36:13 Piecewise_: The big flame is quite good
05:36:39 syv: No new bosses, enemies, characters, or even animations. Just a western straight sword that'd the same length as the katana.
05:36:47 Piecewise_: and the upgrade after that...well spoilers so
05:36:58 Devastator: what, is it a firebird?
05:37:22 Piecewise_: no, but you can do an extra thing with it and
er gets annoyed
05:52:48 Piecewise_: Good night erry body
05:59:56 ER: ah, found the absent-minded ninja who attacks you when you talk to him twice
06:00:12 Devastator: he forget something the first time?
06:01:14 ER: he's at the place where you start the game and he's like "well, I was supposed to find a broken and cowardly shinobi here, but I don't see any of those. Guess he's not here."
06:01:41 ER: if you tryt o talk to him a second time he's like "oh, it's you"
06:02:02 ER: then fog walls pop up and you have to fight a two pip ninja in a tiny space
06:03:36 ER: the wolf must not be a very good shinobi. He's great at murdering people, but just about everyone he meets is like "oh, you must be a shinobi"
06:05:17 Devastator: Well, not many of them survive.
06:06:18 syv: Actually I think everyone who says that survives. Unless you choose to kill them, but even then less then half even have that option methinks.
06:07:13 syv: To be fair, in this universe having one arm seems to be a sure sign that you're a ninja, so he *is* operating at a disadvantage.
06:07:36 Devastator: so ninjas are fighters who lose an arm.
06:08:06 ER: but you start the game as a two-armed wolf :P
06:09:49 Devastator: Clearly, you must not yet be a ninja.
06:10:17 ER: huh, wait, do you unlock the ability to dive underwater?
06:12:07 syv: There's ninjas who have both arms.
06:12:17 syv: Just, everyone with only one arm is definitely a ninja.
06:12:30 syv: All amputees are ninjas, but not all ninjas are amputees.
06:13:17 ER: that's why someone went to the trouble of making a prosthetic arm specifically for shinobi
06:19:49 Devastator: What if you lose a leg?
06:21:37 syv: That's even better, then you can use shinobi prosethic tools while still having both your arms!
06:26:54 Devastator: You can't put a sword in the prosthetic arm?
06:27:44 ER: any way, just got to divebomb guy
06:27:59 Devastator: Should cut off both arms then.
06:29:13 syv: "Tomoe... there aren't many masters of the blade like her. To see her fight, it's almost like she's dancing.
06:30:01 syv: This guy is saying that she's the strongest person he's ever fought.
06:30:49 ER: carp scales guy sells a dancing sword tech
06:31:45 ER: is there any worthwhile loot down on the ground level here?
06:33:28 ER: yeah, they put a ceramic shard down there to bait you into fighting four dudes
06:33:35 syv: Nothing terribly special from what I recall.
06:34:12 ER: ah, got some iron near the edge
06:34:16 Devastator: oh,
ER, I should roll for your training results.
06:34:26 Devastator: you wanted the fire thing, right?
06:34:46 ER: yeah, at this point my action is as simple as "fire thing", right?
06:35:08 Devastator: yeah. Just gotta roll for that and see if you want to do anything at night, or continue for the next day.
06:35:43 ER: just now when you said that my brain jumped to "party!"
06:37:28 Devastator: No spell for you today, I'm afraid.
06:46:13 syv: A reliable long range guard pierce is nice.
07:09:49 ER: well, having that spell? could still be useful ;P
07:10:27 ER: no MP in the spoiler, I'm totally out?
07:13:12 Devastator: It'll be full again by morning, and you'll have some if you stay up at night, but you used it all during the day.
07:19:51 syv has quit [Remote host closed the connection]
07:30:17 ER: "eels are related to dragons, so if you eat and eel liver you'll be resistant to lightning"
07:30:51 ER: (because lightning is a divine force, and if anything can resist the gods it's a dragon)
07:54:28 ER: just barely managed to beat a guy with a giant fucking grapeshot cannon.
07:54:46 ER: who really liked to roll around and fire it from the hip.
07:54:56 ER: it was almost like fighting a player~
08:57:31 ER: scrap iron and gunpower sold without limit
08:57:53 ER: now I know what I should dump money on
09:02:39 Devastator: "Known as being too nice to his subordinates, and a true gentleman. Which is not exactly the kind of guy you want in charge of your tanks."

10:29:11 ER: ting clang clang ting shlorp
10:30:41 ER: the game generally forces you to fight though
10:34:18 NJW: Note bottom line. No matter the issue, politicians always find the time to be ridiculous.
10:40:59 ER: oh yeah, and I have kittens
10:43:26 NJW: Nice. Have you named them?

15:00:26 Devastator: Just about to head out the door.. got about fiveish minutes.
15:01:29 NJW: Cool. By the by, did you get the promotion you were angling for? I can't remember the details, but it required a high-level first aid course?
15:01:48 Devastator: That was to improve my prospects for jobs I was applying for.
15:01:52 Devastator: No, I failed the course.
15:02:07 NJW: Oh, right. Yeah, that was last time we talked. Any plans for the summer?
15:02:08 Devastator: But it's okay. This job is pretty good in a different way.
15:02:23 Devastator: Mostly just going to work.
15:03:14 Devastator: I might take a couple weeks off at some point.
15:03:29 Devastator: Am taking this thursday off.. need to get half my car disassembled to change a headlight.
15:03:58 NJW: ...I know little about cars, but that doesn't sound normal
15:04:13 Devastator: They've been getting harder lately.
15:04:30 Devastator: I'm exaggerating. Need to remove two plastic shrouds, the front bumper, and a few other things.
15:05:02 NJW: Good luck with that, then.
15:05:38 NJW: Yeah, it's nice to be on holiday. Term... had its ups and downs.
15:06:14 NJW: Mulling over ideas for a very simple RTD. Possibly one without dice
15:06:27 NJW: Actually, didn't you have a RTD with coinflips at one point?
15:06:54 Devastator: The options were Success and Success without taking damage.
15:07:08 Devastator: existed mostly for me to write purple prose.
15:07:28 Devastator laments Coven again.
15:08:13 Devastator: I did have a few rules. Essentially players could spend chits to guarantee success, and there would be enemy magic users that had bullshit that broke the normal rules.
15:09:19 Devastator: good chatting with tyou.
15:09:36 NJW: chat more over the next coupla weeks or two, perhaps
