08:20:12 syv: Skill level matters much more than gun. Your success odd seem to generally be around 25% due to gun, 75% due to skill, or a bit less.
08:21:15 syv: A very skilled character with a *terrible* gun will be much more effective than a moderately skilled character with the best gun
08:25:03 syv: Going up one skillpoint from base will affect the result of an attack somewhere between 6-20%. Going up one effectiveness rank on a gun is around ~1-3, so one letter grade (F->E) is ~3-8%.
08:26:34 syv: I'm tempted to swap how they work. Skill determining individual success chance, gun determining dice rolled, which completely defeats the purpose of the system as I've designed it. :P
