07:40:30 syv: Dual X doubles your resource requirements for that "weapon", and really dual weapons are a significant enough change that it does feel like a different weapon rather than a different offhand.

07:43:12 syv: Big weapons need big stat investment, and the game sorta encourages you to go for big weapons--they're far better on horseback, and somewhat better in general. Lots of short ranged enemies.
07:43:41 syv: Big damage at a slower rate is also beneficial, due to how armor (still) seems to work, on a more DR based system than % based.
07:43:58 syv: But ashes of war, ghosts, and magic all require FP

09:11:13 syv: Hehe, that was amusing. Got summoned to help in a mining cave, with a boss that drops an anchor as a weapon. At the end, another guy was summoned, wielding said anchor, so I equipped it too.
09:11:38 syv: We both used the special WA, which makes you do three really heavy attacks quickly, and basically deleted the boss in two seconds.

09:16:45 syv: I wonder if it even gives a worthwhile reward. Co-op victories give basically a crappy ember item, and duel victories functionally give you two flowers, which grow everywhere. Essentially meaningless.
