00:34:06 er: Hope you're doing good,
Devastator
00:34:53 Devastator: sorta fixed something broken.
00:41:47 Devastator: it's been irritatingly resiliant to being fixed.
00:45:00 Devastator: magpies passed the mirror test, but crows have not.
01:55:30 Devastator: installing Freespace 2.
01:55:45 Devastator: the installer has a big banner stating "Freespace 2" SCP

04:15:07 Devastator: Getting Freespace 2.
04:16:13 Devastator: one of the finest games ever made.
04:17:04 MidJag: I watched a bit more of that gun detecive anime. It's...decent? Very odd at times.
04:17:21 Devastator: the noir, the gun detective, or the anime?
04:17:42 MidJag: the anime. The pacings kinda all over the place.
04:19:36 MidJag: What's weird is that it will fill nonobvious plot holes while glossing over more obvious ones.
04:21:10 MidJag: I dunno. It's a strange show.
04:22:01 MidJag: The main char is a really fun to watch and that makes up for a lot.
04:22:55 Devastator: that's always good.
04:23:04 Devastator: mmm, one punch man.
04:23:18 MidJag: Yeah. The enigineer girl is also a decentlly fun charecter.
04:23:51 MidJag: And the kid with the power to control cyborgs is..passable? He slowlly gets less stupid over time I think.
04:24:45 Devastator: didn't see any of those characters.
04:25:29 MidJag: The kid with the cyborg controlling powers is the paraylzyed one at the beginnig
04:28:36 Devastator: dammit, there was something we should have watched next, but I forget it.
04:30:22 Devastator: nah, it was a movie.
04:30:47 Devastator: oh, I also think
syv hasn't seen Raiders of the lost Ark.
04:32:46 Devastator: also, I think you're the only one I've watched Galaxy Quest with.
04:34:05 MidJag: That was also a pretty great movie
04:36:22 Devastator: Good if you want something happy.
04:41:27 MidJag: probably the most positive movie we've watched here
04:44:10 Devastator: oh man, they did some more OPM manga chapters.
04:44:44 MidJag: Is there a third season coming out any time soon?
04:45:19 Devastator: doesn't look like it. No announcements.
04:45:22 Devastator: it'll probably come, just not soon.
04:48:40 Devastator: well, if we want to watch another happy movie, there's How to Train Your Dragon.
04:49:31 MidJag: One of the few movies based on books I actually enjoyed because it's so compleltly unlike the book you can't really get mad at it.
04:50:03 Devastator: I heard it shared nothing except the title.
04:52:17 MidJag: I'm really not sure why they bought the rights to the book and then didn't really use anything but the charecter names. Seems like more work on their part.
04:52:49 Devastator: probably wasn't that expensive.
04:55:22 Devastator: Man, I just lucked out seeing that movie. Was feeling depressed and went into the theatre at random during the day.
04:56:16 MidJag: I'm curious how you ended up picking that movie
04:58:15 Devastator: It was what was showing.
04:58:38 Devastator: I saw a few movies that way. Was also the way I ended up seeing The Wicker Man in the theatre.
04:58:49 MidJag: That sounds like a fun time
04:59:08 MidJag: Depends on what your expectations were I suppose.
04:59:21 Devastator: I had no expectations.
04:59:34 Devastator: it seemed like a bad movie, but I didn't hate on it that much.
05:00:07 MidJag: You ever see the Tintin movie?
05:00:47 MidJag: It's pretty good. Pretty faithful to the comics. In feel if nothing else.
05:01:10 Devastator: I didn't think many people on this side of the pond knew much about Tintin.
05:02:17 MidJag: My elemntary school library had a bunch of the comics for some reason.
05:02:43 Devastator: Huh, similar to how I read some of them, at the local library when I was a kid.
05:02:51 Devastator: we used to go there and borrow a bunch of books every week.
05:03:03 MidJag: And my elemntary school librarian wasn't convinced I could read 5-6th grader books so we comprimised on comic books intially. :P
05:07:57 MidJag: Actually they may have been the first comics I actually read that weren't in like a newspaper.
05:08:30 Devastator: Mmm, nah, not for me. My dad collected them when he was a kid, and I'd seen some of those.
05:08:49 Devastator: and donald ducks and archies.
05:09:49 MidJag: When I was a kid the reading material my dad left lying around was like WWII history books.
05:09:54 Devastator: but pretty early. There were tintins and there were Asterix ones.
05:10:11 MidJag: I never read Asterix. I've heard of them, but never read 'em.
05:10:26 Devastator: they're better than Tintins.
