02:44:40 Devastator: heya PW.
02:44:43 Devastator: got a woofer?
02:45:02 Devastator: trip ok?
02:45:03 Piecewise: I just left the place with a dog
02:45:08 Piecewise: And yes, it went fine
02:45:27 Devastator: so.. did you bring a dog back from the place, or did you just visit a place with a dog, leaving the dog there, or both?
02:46:19 Piecewise: The second one
02:46:25 Devastator: ahh.
02:47:29 Devastator: well, good seeing you.
02:47:34 Devastator: you missed a movie night.
02:47:38 Devastator: we watched Terminator.
02:47:46 Piecewise: I watched it on halloween
02:48:02 Piecewise: I like how Arnold is rotting away through the movie
02:48:36 Devastator: the original or the new one?
02:48:49 Devastator: I think they both qualify for that.
02:49:16 Piecewise: The original
02:49:55 er: Aaaarnie
02:50:15 Devastator: Ahnold.
02:50:34 Devastator: "We have to make a movie before the principle actors die."
02:50:54 Piecewise: Welcome to the late 2010's
02:50:59 Devastator: Yeah.
02:51:08 Devastator: wouldn't be facing this if they allowed new great actors to develop.
02:51:17 Piecewise: NO
02:51:18 Piecewise: REMAKES
02:52:13 er: Damn, it's about to be the 20s, isn't it?
02:52:32 Piecewise: indeed
02:52:38 Piecewise: I remember the other 20's
02:52:44 Piecewise: 1720 was pretty good
02:55:28 er: Citation needed
02:55:41 Devastator: 1720..
02:55:56 Devastator: dang.
02:57:01 er: For whatever reason, I feel like reading more Homestuck.
02:57:16 er: Maybe I'll start on that tomorrow.
02:59:11 Devastator: a bit late for a carribian pirate.

03:08:12 Devastator: musta had one of those.
03:09:03 Devastator: 'you pull the trigger once, and it will fire for two minutes straight, until all 224 rounds have been expended.'
03:09:05 Devastator: ahh.
03:15:37 Devastator: so does moving principles about with thaum and alchemy actually work?
03:21:11 Piecewise: I had those ax musket combos
03:21:23 Devastator: Ahh.
03:21:25 Devastator: those are sweet.
03:21:34 Devastator: although I like the sheer incredulity of that machine gun.
03:21:48 Devastator: well, wrong word.
03:21:57 Devastator: the feeling of sheer incredulity evoked by that machine gun.
03:31:47 Piecewise: It looks like a serious sam weapon
03:32:26 Devastator: yes.
03:32:42 Devastator: hmm.
03:32:48 Devastator: reminds me of the shotgun from Daikatana.
03:32:59 Devastator: the only FPS shotgun that has ever been terrible.
03:34:45 Devastator: http://youtu.be/JYnbHfwbPQw
03:34:58 Piecewise: Ha
03:35:06 Piecewise: there are tons of bad fps shotguns
03:35:14 Piecewise: You ever heard of Civvie 11 by the way/
03:35:16 Piecewise: ?
03:39:08 Devastator: I haven't, actually.
03:51:50 Piecewise: He reviews and does retrospectives on old "boomer" shooters
03:52:08 Piecewise: like doom, quake, blood, duke nukem, etc
03:52:43 Devastator: Ahh.
03:52:47 Piecewise: https://www.youtube.com/channel/UC21uZkfXpT8rPY-gPgMiCwA/videos
03:52:51 Devastator: Just shooters?
03:52:52 Piecewise: He's pretty fun
03:52:57 Piecewise: Not just shooters
03:53:08 Piecewise: but that seems to be the major genre he does
03:53:23 Devastator: mmm.
03:53:32 Devastator: For fucks sake.
05:55:37 Devastator: oh well.
05:55:44 Devastator: anyway, thanks for stopping by here, Piecewise.
07:22:28 Devastator: "ninja dwarves"

15:35:12 er: It looks good to me.
15:35:30 er: Haven't played it cause I'm a PC gamer
15:36:31 er: Gameplay focuses on keeping your balance while hiking. Which is harder the more weight you carry.
15:37:12 er: Enemies do exist, but the game largely isn't about fighting them.
15:37:34 er: Plot is predictably bonkers, ymmv.
15:40:34 er: Oh, but the human enemies you absolutely can sneak up on and knock out, and steal all their shit.
15:40:56 er: So it's not about avoiding them per se
15:41:35 er: A lot of the time you want to be raiding them to, again, steal all their shit.
17:00:46 Piecewise: Hmm
17:00:48 Piecewise: might be good
17:01:06 Piecewise: I know its getting some pretty bad critical reviews, but I don't play attention to critics
17:01:29 Piecewise: the issue is that Kojima also has a cult of followers so you can't listen to the audience reviews either
17:03:46 Piecewise: Kinda just depends on how fun the moment to moment gameplay is
17:51:40 Devastator: :D
18:30:18 Devastator: hmm.
18:55:12 Devastator: still around, Piecewise?

19:10:49 Elasticly_Rigid: Hi, dev
19:12:38 Devastator: Heya ER.
19:12:46 Devastator: anything going on today?
19:13:00 Devastator: forums be down.
19:15:07 Elasticly_Rigid: Went to work.
19:15:15 Elasticly_Rigid: Having lunch now
19:23:05 Devastator: ahh.
19:28:19 Elasticly_Rigid: Mm, chocolate croissant
19:29:04 Elasticly_Rigid: It's no almond croissant, but it's good. ;P
19:29:59 Devastator: that does sound good.
19:30:08 Devastator has bad lunches.
19:30:42 Elasticly_Rigid: Hmm, live too far from civilization for real food? ;)
19:32:10 Devastator: Nah, just hard to store at work.
19:32:46 Devastator: There is some truth to that, as I don't work in the city itself with a dozen options for lunch, even if I don't make something.
19:33:03 Elasticly_Rigid: Heh.
19:33:37 Devastator: it's better than when I was working on the assembly line an hour away.
19:33:40 Elasticly_Rigid: I work in a little restuarant, so I can have hot lunch as easy as paying for it.
19:34:23 Devastator: ahh, that's handy.
19:34:29 Devastator: Job before last was good that way.
19:35:18 Devastator: but the assembly line.. I basically eat camping food for lunch. There were people who made better meals for themselves, but that was basically what I had to eat to keep away from digestion problems.
19:38:16 Devastator: ate.
19:43:31 Devastator: plus I'm lazy about lunches.
19:43:52 Devastator: putting effort into cooking is for dinner, imo.
19:46:00 Elasticly_Rigid: Well, some very acceptable things can be accomplished with a small amount of effort.
19:46:28 Elasticly_Rigid: Nothing wrong with some nuts and sliced cheese.
19:47:07 Devastator: more nuts and pemmican-analogue.
19:48:47 Devastator: I don't like sliced cheese much after it's gotten warm for a few hours.
19:50:16 Elasticly_Rigid: I had a lunchbox in school which really kept things cold enough.
19:50:47 Elasticly_Rigid: With the little blue freezer block, of course.
19:51:07 Devastator: oh, nifty.
19:51:21 Devastator: I had a couple of lunchboxes, but I kept losing them. Went to paper bags instead.
19:53:39 Elasticly_Rigid: In high school I carried everywhere a messenger bag, lunch bag, and computer bag.
19:53:52 Devastator: huh.
19:54:02 Elasticly_Rigid: One on my left, one on my right, one in front of me.
19:54:15 Devastator: Nobody had personal computers when I went to high school. Everyone just had stuffed backpacks and lockers.
19:54:36 Elasticly_Rigid: The school issued us laptops.
19:54:38 Devastator: some people had other bags for gym, but mostly people just re-used plastic bags for that.
19:54:51 Devastator: Wow, that sounds.. wasteful.
19:54:59 Elasticly_Rigid: A little.
19:54:59 Devastator: must be some school.
19:55:11 Elasticly_Rigid: Seems common enough.
19:55:27 Elasticly_Rigid: They all seems to have online stuff.
19:55:44 Devastator: What for?
19:56:15 Elasticly_Rigid: Was that way in high school and at the collage. Probably that way down to elementary these days. :p
19:56:46 Elasticly_Rigid: Homework. Grades. Schedule stuff, I guess.
19:57:01 Devastator: yeah..
19:57:16 Elasticly_Rigid: No fun.
19:57:23 Elasticly_Rigid: Anyway
19:57:30 Elasticly_Rigid: I'll be back.

19:59:20 Devastator: I don't think that would even work here if they did it today. I can think of a few households that are internet-free.
20:01:07 Devastator: That said, I'm quite certain there are a lot more computers around, in various ways. I'd still expect no laptops, though.
20:01:22 Devastator: They bought a shitload of mini-terminals for that instead.
20:01:55 Devastator: probably cheaper, and probably more relevant experience.
20:03:54 Devastator: Because storing your work non-locally is a more useful skill to learn, really.
20:19:21 Devastator: ahh.
20:19:25 Devastator: been too many years, anyway.
20:23:11 Piecewise: I am here now
20:24:23 Devastator: Just bored.
20:24:26 Devastator: and no forums.
20:25:24 Piecewise: Did Kaiju combat update by the way?
20:25:29 Piecewise: I haven't been watching while out
20:26:18 Devastator: I did an update a couple days ago.
20:26:28 Devastator: it's the action/deployment phase now.
20:26:43 Devastator: generated the opposing Kaiju, too.

20:36:23 er: I do want to see how well my current units do.
20:36:46 er: All of them upgraded some way or another.
20:36:59 er: Mm.
20:37:19 Devastator: well, there will be a battle in a bit.
20:37:24 er: Maybe I shouldn't equip both grenades, really.
20:37:32 Devastator shrugs.
20:37:41 Devastator: one unit might get blown away if you only send out one.
20:37:44 Devastator: you might never find out.
20:38:06 er: Hmm.
20:38:45 er: I suppose if they turn out really good, Irony will still have one to reverse engineer.
20:40:13 Devastator: mmm.
20:43:06 Devastator: Oh, there is one thing I wanted to say.
20:43:24 Devastator: I wanted to remind people for the big auction next turn that mad scientists can buy stuff off that too.

22:24:56 Devastator: Missing Sir Elventide who wrote the same way..
22:26:05 Devastator: I'd fine it more enjoyable now that my tolerance is up.
22:26:46 ER: you're weird :P
22:27:51 Devastator: very, very bored today.
22:28:49 ER: guess I'm not much better, I was planning on reading more homestuck~
22:29:26 ER: perhaps instead I'll give disco elysium some much needed attention, though
22:52:23 Devastator: sounds like a plan.
23:13:03 Devastator: This one has an amusing concept.
23:13:17 Devastator: man reincarnates into a vending machine.
23:13:27 ER: sounds familiar
23:14:41 Devastator: dunno. New to me.
23:37:20 Devastator: ahh, the romance plot started.
23:37:38 ER: fuckin' romance, man
23:37:47 ER: always wit the fuckin' romance
23:38:21 Devastator: Yeah.
23:38:52 Devastator: I am curious about this one, though.

23:45:49 ER:
23:56:14 Devastator: Hmm.
23:56:41 Devastator: I like it, but I'm kinda down that a guy who says "FUCK THE WORLD" ultimately wants to FUCK NOTHING.
23:56:49 Devastator: Sounds backwards to me.
23:57:19 ER: by fucking nothing, he fucks everything
23:58:11 Devastator: Hmm.
23:58:15 Devastator: Also seems backwards.
23:58:38 Devastator: So can you have sex with that guy?
23:59:04 ER: I have no idea what you can have sex with in this game, if anything
23:59:29 Devastator: Aww.
23:59:29 ER: I haven't tried very hard... because it's an RPG... and I'm pretty asexual...
23:59:37 Devastator: Meh.
23:59:47 Devastator: I'm happier with it being mostly absent myself.
23:59:52 Devastator: but for that guy I'd want to see it.
23:59:59 ER: though, I did somehow get the achevment for fucking everyone possible in Alpha Protocol
