02:54:08 Devastator: mm
02:54:48 ER: could a small lab research organic weapons usable by infantry?
02:54:57 Devastator: don't see why not.
02:55:09 Devastator: no bodysuits, though, not with cat-sized stuff.
02:55:41 ER: what about, uh, kaiju muscle tentacle swords?
02:59:52 Devastator: Should be ok.
03:00:11 Devastator: but it won't be better simply due to being organic..
03:02:28 ER: insect glaive, maybe https://vignette.wikia.nocookie.net/monsterhunter/images/7/78/Insect_Rod_Render.png/revision/latest?cb=20130624022609
03:03:16 Devastator shrugs.
03:03:30 Devastator: mind you, human-sized melee weapons aren't going to be super-effective against Kaiju.
03:03:58 ER: give em to catgirls, they can climb up and stab em in the brain
03:07:33 ER: ...what's a good bird name for a truck with a gun on it, anyways?
03:17:43 Devastator: Woodpecker.
03:20:37 ER: posted
03:21:46 ER: decided to research a counter-terrorism unit, which probably isn't the most effecient use of my time, but it's what I can think of :v
03:22:37 Devastator shrugs.
03:24:52 Devastator: I'm assuming you mean some small infantry gear?
03:25:14 ER: I mean a counter terrorism unit
03:25:42 Devastator: Well, I don't know what that would be, then.
03:26:52 Devastator: It's gotta be a small vehicle or infantry gear.
03:26:54 Devastator: or a building.
03:52:28 Devastator: or a cat-sized biological organism.

04:11:33 Devastator runs
04:11:51 Devastator doesn't have any model robots to satiate the sinistar with.
04:11:58 ER: is that one of the kaiju?
04:11:58 Devastator: *sate
04:12:07 Devastator: Sinistar?
04:12:38 ER: so, squads of catgirls with monster hunter weapons, Y/N?
04:13:55 Devastator: Should work.
04:14:02 Devastator: whatever you want, so long as I can parse it into the rules.
04:14:29 MidJag has joined #einsteinianroulette
04:14:50 Devastator: Heya MJ.
04:15:01 Piecewise: Sinistar is an arcade game Er
04:15:24 ER: think i fuckin dont know shit skeleton
04:15:45 Piecewise: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=rxK3SirReWk
04:16:20 MidJag: This does sound familiar
04:18:43 Piecewise: For some reason sinistar is more well known then it has any right to be
04:19:04 Piecewise: I think its good quotes and probably some really good early digitized voice
04:20:20 MidJag: probablh
04:21:50 MidJag: how've you been Piecewise
04:23:27 Piecewise: bretty good. I made an orge robot.
04:23:45 Piecewise: got stuff ready for my trip to arizona
04:24:37 Piecewise: submerged steel wool in vinegar
04:24:43 Piecewise: mailed a letter
04:24:57 MidJag: Cool, whatcha doing in arizona?
04:25:29 Piecewise: Seeing my sister. Halloween fun times and her birthday
04:25:36 MidJag: Ah cool.
04:25:47 Piecewise: There's a free mason halloween party
04:25:59 Devastator: Huh.
04:26:08 MidJag: I see
04:26:15 Devastator: It's about the message, PW.
04:26:20 Devastator: Sinistar is rather on point.
04:26:25 Devastator: and there never was another one.
04:26:30 Devastator: so nothing else like it.
04:29:36 Piecewise: fair
04:29:43 Piecewise: he had a very direct message
04:29:52 Piecewise: about running because he lived
04:30:46 Devastator: RUN RUN RUN.
04:31:01 Devastator: to be fair, there are a number of arcade games from that era that remain uncommonly well known.
04:31:04 Devastator: Joust, for instance.
04:31:19 Piecewise: my sister's husband is really into joust
04:31:26 ER: joust is a good game
04:31:50 Piecewise: Joust is like...I feel like it must capture the effect of trying to play a game while very drunk
04:32:08 ER: git gud
04:32:38 ER: cly you just have not mastered the art of controlling that little bird~
04:32:45 Piecewise: everything is ice physics, either undershooting or overshooting, etc.
04:32:55 Piecewise: its competitive flappy bird~
04:33:11 MidJag: Joust?
04:34:38 Devastator: http://www.free80sarcade.com/joust.php
04:35:04 ER: know of any way to play it online?
04:37:10 Devastator: nah, don't know of a good port.
04:37:42 MidJag: Ah.
04:37:44 MidJag: Cool
04:37:48 ER: that site's version didn't seem to work well
04:38:17 Piecewise: I built an arcade cabinet a while back that has joust on it
04:38:51 Piecewise: along with a 1000 other games
04:39:24 Devastator: Yeah.
04:39:26 Piecewise: its still weird to see those little arcade cabinets in stores selling like 5 Atari games for 40 bucks.
04:39:29 Devastator: sounds like fun.
04:39:38 Devastator: Those are the shitty ones.
04:41:16 MidJag: I'll belive it
04:48:20 Piecewise: I think its all licensing issues.
04:48:34 Piecewise: atari wanting a half million bucks just to let you use pac man
04:49:41 ER: the rotting corpse of atari
04:51:24 Devastator: Atari was long dead.
04:51:33 Devastator: blame Infogrames Interactive, when they used their own name.
04:57:02 Piecewise: ah
04:57:03 Piecewise: also
04:57:52 Piecewise: fun little fact: disney has been doing a hard push on how great the new starwars movie is selling tickets, claiming its outselling endgame and such.
04:58:36 Piecewise: but when people actually looked into it, they found out that it seems like disney is buying out blocks of seats in theaters to inflate their numbers
04:59:27 Piecewise: https://pbs.twimg.com/media/EHm_lgNX0AEgDU6?format=jpg&name=large
04:59:51 Piecewise: The exact same seat configurations are bought out for every showing
05:00:42 Piecewise: I dunno if its true, but it would be very funny if it was
05:02:42 MidJag: Eh, maybe.
05:02:54 ER: not very
05:03:09 MidJag: It would be funny, but I'd be suprised if it was true.
05:04:06 Devastator: Seems possible.
05:04:19 Devastator: numbers boosting is not a new thing.
05:06:30 Piecewise: I would assume they'd just...you know...lie and not spend any money
05:07:05 Piecewise: or rather, they'd pay off some clickbait authors and have them do it for them
05:07:49 Devastator: this way's easier.
05:08:06 MidJag: Is it though?
05:08:29 Devastator: Yeah.
05:08:38 Devastator: no witnesses.
05:09:18 MidJag: Maybe
05:10:19 Piecewise: I mean, what does it matter?
05:10:46 Piecewise: you think these fucking 20 year old "Journalists" are gonna come out and say they lied and were paid?
05:11:06 Piecewise: No, they need that clickbait money for their studio apartment rent.
05:11:26 Piecewise: they're not gonna bite the mouse that feeds
05:11:54 Piecewise: and even if they do, the media isn't gonna give it wide spread coverage
05:12:15 Devastator: Mmm, fair point.
05:12:21 Devastator: of course, nobody reads the clickbait anyway.
05:12:34 ER: apparently PW does!
05:12:36 Piecewise: Disney could probably be grinding up midgets to fuel space mountain and I'm pretty sure they could get away with it
05:12:51 Piecewise: I don't read them or click on them, but I see their titles
05:13:17 Piecewise: I ain't gonna fucking read
05:14:06 Devastator: Heh.
05:14:16 Devastator: Saw a good example of that yesterday.
05:15:51 Devastator: headline said A, article said B, see who complains about A.
05:17:04 Piecewise: At this point I'm starting to treat it all as, at best, potentially true
05:17:10 Devastator: Yeah.
05:17:19 Devastator: which makes things hard when someone just straight-up lies.
05:18:02 Piecewise: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=zzmN9elVqmg
05:18:16 Piecewise: Sir Mix-a-lot knew what he was talking about
05:18:24 Piecewise: a phrase never before uttered
05:19:04 MidJag: heh
05:19:41 Devastator: There is generally truth somewhere, if you put the work in.
05:19:59 MidJag: That's why they make deepfakes, just to make things make even less sense:P
05:19:59 Devastator: here's, for instance, the full list of the idiots who shut down the congression investigation today.
05:20:01 Devastator: https://pbs.twimg.com/media/EHliY2uX4AALoFN.png:small
05:20:12 Devastator: checkmarks are people who voted for the rules preventing general entry.
05:20:28 Devastator: stars are people who were allowed in there, but protesting that they weren't allowed in there.
05:21:28 Piecewise: Thank god I'm nothign but a complex chat bot and don't have to worry about anything
05:21:35 Devastator: and there's a huge pile of bullshit around that.
05:23:13 MidJag: Hmm, I should go to bed.
05:23:15 Piecewise: there always is
05:23:18 MidJag: Night gents
05:23:23 Piecewise: night
05:23:26 MidJag has left #einsteinianroulette
05:23:52 Devastator: ok.
05:23:54 Devastator: points off.
05:23:59 Devastator: no naming your fictional dog 'woof'
05:24:09 Piecewise: yeah
05:24:13 Devastator: that's like naming a werewolf 'luna'
05:24:16 Piecewise: name him "My Cat"
05:24:25 ER: wolfie!
05:24:41 Piecewise: Er's parents are already dead
05:30:12 Devastator: we are already dead.
05:30:16 Devastator: so who is saeko going to meet?
05:30:48 Piecewise: good question
05:31:25 Devastator: well, find out next time.
05:31:29 Devastator: as for supplies.. yowch.
05:31:51 Devastator: 100 gold per person. I'll need like a thousand for the expedition, then, as I was planning on taking like seven people.
05:31:53 Devastator: plus food.
05:32:38 Piecewise: Nah
05:32:42 Piecewise: think of that as the base
05:32:53 Piecewise: and then each individual adds some more, but not 100 more
05:33:04 Devastator: ahh, ok.
05:33:54 Devastator: well, ideal lineup would be a couple people to help with loading and unloading and digging, probably someone to represent whoever the sponsor is, someone familiar with the ruins to some degree, and likely a third guard so they can take shifts.
05:34:04 Devastator: which makes seven.
05:39:10 Piecewise: heading for gravid?
05:40:50 Devastator: Sure.
05:40:59 Devastator: either that or the black flux, but basically wherever the guy wants to go.
05:42:20 Piecewise: Okie dokie
05:42:31 Piecewise: Well its night for me, but before I go, a question
05:42:39 Piecewise: are you familiar with laputa?
05:43:50 Devastator: Mmm.
05:43:59 Devastator: To a significant degree, yeah.
05:46:15 Piecewise: good good
05:46:30 ER: what?
05:47:57 Devastator: It's a piece of mythology oft mentioned and rarely understood in the modern era, ER. How could I not know anything of it?
05:48:57 ER: what?
05:51:46 Devastator: It is a city that flies in the air, ER.
05:51:54 ER: boring
05:57:38 Piecewise: No, floating
05:57:44 Piecewise: you illiterate swine~
05:57:48 Devastator: Yes, that's Dig.
05:58:04 ER: bah, everything's floating in something
06:14:30 Devastator: Woof.
