00:00:51 ER: how many sides does youtube have?
00:01:04 ER: is it a dodecahedron?
00:02:41 syv: It has enough sides to be considered Heresy by mech people, that's for sure.
00:13:34 ER: "Welcome. please read these final warnings. Then, take it in your hands."
00:15:32 ER: " *There may be moving or flashing imagery. *You may have to override security protocols to use the program. *For public safety, you are advised to refrain from discussion of the program for 24 hours. *You accept everything that will happen from now on."
00:33:15 syv: Doubtful, I'm not a very acceptant dude.
00:41:00 ER: In that case, I'd recommend not downloading deltarune
00:41:52 ER: not that I have any idea what deltarune is, but it apparantly involves accepting what happens.
00:48:01 ER: ...I wonder just HOW creepypasta this thingy is. It's accompanied by ominous warnings, was released on halloween, and is also accompanied by advice to not discuss it for 24 hours.
00:48:59 ER: And it was made by Toby Fox, that one guy who made undertale remember that game?
00:49:43 syv: I remember its music. It had good music.
00:49:58 syv: ...I never finished my Trump run of it. Hum. Maybe I should do that.
00:50:47 ER: ...What is trumpy about the trump run?
00:52:14 ER: Well, it's not lying when it says that you may have to override security protocols. :P
00:52:47 ER: Both chrome and windows have been like "uhhhh, this looks shady dude"
01:05:23 ER: The installer opens up with a licence agreement window that just says, in all caps, "YOU ACCEPT EVERYTHING THAT WILL HAPPEN FROM NOW ON."
01:05:26 syv: Would Toby Fox put a virus on your computer?
01:05:34 syv: Would Toby Fox get hacked?
01:07:14 ER: Would this game be able to hack Putnam's forum account and post a link in the appropriate thread with a comment that makes sense in the context of the one above it? And also hack a gaming news site and put up a whole article about the thing?
01:07:32 ER: That's written in the style of that specific news site?
01:08:50 ER: I mean, if this is going to harm my computer it's probably using suffecntly advanced technology and/or ghosts to keep the secret.
01:09:15 ER: still, savoring the SPOOKINESS
01:10:19 ER: And I've turned system volume off so it can't even spook me THAT hard until I turn it back on. :V
01:11:10 ER: And there's always the chance that I launch the thing and it just trolls me with an annoying dog, because Toby.
01:28:14 ER: Am I soaking in the spooky vibes, or overhyping myself?
01:28:43 ER: guess I need only launch the thingy and find out
01:30:09 ER: neat tunes
01:30:28 ER: reminds me of some silent hill stuff
01:30:41 ER: not the metal scraping, the actual music
01:32:34 ER: huh, is that a joke?
01:32:57 ER: it's having me make a character, and selecting the head, torso, and legs.
01:33:26 ER: the legs are all very simple, and are identical to each other except the last pair, which are mirrored.
01:34:19 ER: (guess if there's anything I can expect, it's good music)
01:35:18 ER: "your favorite blood type?"
01:35:33 ER: A, AB, B, C, D
01:36:13 ER: choices of favorite color are red, blue, green, and cyan
01:42:56 ER: oh hey now it's just undertale
01:45:56 ER: yeah, clearly designed for people who have played undertale :P
01:48:11 ER: VERY VERY clearly
01:49:05 syv: That's a pity.
01:49:18 syv: Also, kind've indulgent of him.
01:49:28 ER: I'll still see where it goes.
01:50:28 ER: i walked into a friendly classroom and the background music has piano and this makes me paranoid for some reason.
02:01:24 ER: hmm
02:01:31 ER: I'll call this interesting
02:02:58 ER: "Think this closest is, uh, broken. There aren't any walls."
02:29:03 ER: "First I'll teach you to FIGHT. Though FIGHTing is unnecessary in this world..."
02:48:31 ER: strangely, this looks a lot like "undertale, but more of it and with slightly higher production qualities"
02:48:47 ER: I hope he's doing SOMETHING tricky with it
02:49:41 syv: Undertale, but spoopy.
02:49:49 ER: Maybe even a bit more optimistic than undertale so far?
02:50:37 ER: thus far the spook was all frontloaded, and then it turned into... kinda like undertale with more jrpg-ish mechanics?
02:54:21 MidJag has joined #einsteinianroulette
02:54:26 MidJag: lo
02:54:35 ER: hmm. guess that would be the twist. or one of them, at least
02:54:38 MidJag: And happy halooeen
02:54:43 MidJag: ....shit
02:54:47 MidJag: haloween
02:55:05 ER: haloween? did you dress up like master chef?
02:56:20 MidJag: That would have been a good costume, but nah actually, this is the first Halloween I've not actually worn a costume. :(
02:57:08 MidJag: I would be, but I'm trying to get a lab report done.
03:02:19 MidJag: Man, I really do send the signal to noise ratio plummeting. :P
03:02:43 ER: wasn't talking much
03:03:17 ER: I'm playing deltarune
03:03:22 MidJag: Ah, cool
03:03:30 MidJag: I have no idea what that is, but cool
03:03:35 ER: indeed
03:04:25 ER: http://www.bay12forums.com/smf/index.php?topic=127679.msg7880202#msg7880202
03:04:52 ER: remember undertale? well it's undertale
03:05:02 ER: or something
03:05:11 MidJag: I see
03:09:30 MidJag: I will probably check it out in december.
03:09:59 ER: provided that it still exists then
03:12:21 MidJag: I will find a way.
03:12:32 MidJag: Or something.
03:12:37 MidJag: It'll go on the list
03:12:46 ER: heh, okay
03:17:44 MidJag: oooh, if I actually get this done in like an hour or two we should do a quick movie or TV night.
03:19:41 syv: I'll be cool with that. Be back in an hour.
03:19:43 syv has quit [Quit: Definitely a psyv.]
03:19:48 ER: This actually looks like it's "undertale, but you have a party of three, and one of those party member automatically attacks everything and is super strong"
03:20:02 ER: which is at least A twist, I suppose.
03:23:21 MidJag: Sounds like the opposite of a pacifist run IIRC
03:24:43 ER: Well no, it seems like you're intended to want to be pacifist, but end up needing to defend the enemies from your own ally.
03:25:00 MidJag: intresting
03:37:15 MidJag: neat. https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Zone_melting
03:40:48 ER: wonder how this game plans to destroy me emotionally.
03:41:55 MidJag: Probably when it says your friend was to fight every charismatic creature.
03:42:10 MidJag: Even if they've done nothing wrong
03:45:09 ER: ...huh
03:45:38 ER: I CAN use the crazy barbarian as part of my strategy even when sparing everything.
03:46:05 MidJag: Cool
03:46:35 ER: mage character has a spell that spares any tired enemy, barbarian always attacks the top creature and does enough damage to make it tired but not kill it.
03:46:50 MidJag: Ah.
03:46:53 MidJag: Coo
03:46:58 MidJag: l
03:52:14 ER: that's a funny boss fight
04:19:53 ER: (the broken cake was fixed beyond recognition)
04:21:21 MidJag: Neat
04:22:08 MidJag: ...You know your listening to experimental metal when the intro of the song is 3 mintues long.
04:22:23 ER: yup.
04:22:32 ER: that's experimental metal
05:21:32 syv has joined #einsteinianroulette
05:22:51 ER: well damn, that's quite a thingy
05:23:13 syv: What is?
05:23:26 ER: deltarune
05:24:00 ER: Still not finished with it after this long, and I only took a few breaks.
05:25:52 MidJag: report is getting done!
05:26:09 syv: Coolio.
05:29:31 MidJag: Should be able to watch like an episode or two of something in about 30 min
05:29:47 syv: Gotcha.
05:29:58 MidJag: Oh, you guys should pick while I finish this up.
05:32:11 syv: ER, anything YOU want to watch?
05:32:40 ER: um
05:48:06 syv: Well, no matter. The only option available--which we haven't all seen, at least--is Cowboy Bebop. ER's watched ahead, and I don't particularly like it, but oh well.
05:48:24 ER: heh, groovy
05:48:34 ER: figured we'd lost interest in that one
05:48:46 ER: But I could rewatch.
05:49:19 syv: We had, I believe, but I can't watch anything without a long warning, due to the need to download.
05:49:33 MidJag: I'd just run out of time
05:49:52 syv: Was that an "I've"?
05:49:58 syv: Or a non-sequitur?
05:50:37 MidJag: yes :P
05:50:48 MidJag: I dunno, more of just a mistake I belive
05:50:49 ER: -_-
05:50:56 ER: "yes"
05:51:17 syv: I think he means he now has no time and cannot watch something tonight.
05:51:18 syv: Whic solves
05:51:25 syv: Which solves the problem neatly.
05:51:36 ER: and sadly
05:52:13 ER: we should probably consider downloading something good or amusingly bad to watch.
05:52:24 MidJag: Nah, I meant that was the reason I hadn't been able to watch it
05:52:40 ER: there we go.
05:52:43 MidJag: I've still got like a solid 40 min before I definetly need to sleep
05:52:49 ER: So, we watching bebop?
05:52:54 MidJag: Gimme 10 min
05:55:14 syv: Just as a note, I would *really* appreciate it if we could make a list of, like, three things we might like to watch in the future, which I can obtain ahead of time.
05:57:09 MidJag: I saw a decent show a while ago called final space. It's not exceptoional by any means but it's decent. Sci fi comedy/drama ish, pretty short series, like 10 episodes.
05:57:26 ER: the 2d animation star wars clone wars seiries.
05:57:33 ER: always great
05:57:51 MidJag: I would suggest the 3d as well, but that ones a looong series
05:58:25 ER: haven't seen it, but no way that 3d animation is as cool as 2d :P
05:59:53 syv: I veto the former on account of having seen pieces and disliking all of them.
06:00:30 ER: what hideous tastes you must have~
06:00:33 syv: Final Space and 3d CW are both of meh interest, and if those are chosen I will obtain them tomorrow.
06:01:02 MidJag: Wait, you dislike the 2d CW?
06:01:46 syv: Yes?
06:02:01 MidJag: .....how?~
06:02:37 syv: I'unno. I just never saw anything appealing in it. Perhaps I was only linked to memetic portions.
06:03:57 ER: Just has lots of solid animated action scenes and reletively little talking about things that aren't relevent to fights.
06:05:38 syv: Honestly I never saw any particularly interesting animation from it.
06:05:45 syv: Also, that sounds extremely stupid and boring.
06:06:00 syv: Especially since it's SW and therefore involves no useful firearms.
06:06:11 syv: Or any cool firearms, either. Blasters are boring.
06:06:17 MidJag coughs and mutters HH under his breath
06:06:22 ER: blasters can be cool
06:07:36 syv: "Useful firearms" "cool firearms"
06:07:54 ER: why the fuck do we care about useful things
06:08:48 syv: Because people being shot is fun to watch. People being stabbed and/or slashed is often not. At least to me.
06:09:20 syv: In SW, blasters never kill anything relevant, and are FAR less effective than laser swords which were probably bought in a bar.
06:09:27 MidJag: Bah.
06:11:50 ER: The only reason they're worse than laser swords is that the only people dumb enough to use laser swords are wizards and therefore win most fights by default.
06:13:07 ER: Given the right weight, blasters go from dinky light shooters to terrifying bolts of plasma that send people flying on impact.
06:13:14 syv: Yes. But wizards ONLY use laser swords, so all blasters end up being irrelevant. And this is still ignoring the fact that energy weapons are inherently less cool than projectile weapons.
06:14:45 ER: wizards aren't common enough to make blasterss irrelevant.
06:15:02 MidJag: This band has a world building bit of just the singer talking to himself in between songs. It's kinda neat.
06:17:43 syv: Ayreon?
06:18:34 MidJag: huh, no, but those look cool
06:19:02 ER: were we gonna watch an episode of cowboy bebop? Guess not?
06:19:07 MidJag: Futures end
06:20:10 ER: huh
06:20:27 ER: deltarune has... multiple save slots?
06:20:53 ER: that's different
06:21:23 syv: I don't think so, ER. MJ has to finish his thing.
06:21:33 MidJag: Alright we are go for watch
06:21:50 MidJag: Amazinglly.
06:22:12 ER: welp
06:22:22 MidJag: makeing this one of the first time I think I only kinda underestimated how long something would take
06:22:25 ER: just as I give up and start deltarune back up :P
06:23:20 MidJag: Do we have a link for a site?
06:24:25 ER: oh
06:24:33 ER: don't have that shit here
06:25:02 ER: I'd have to switch to the other computer which is right next to me, but ehhhh
06:27:21 syv: I tend to just use kissanime.ru
06:27:24 syv: "It works"
06:27:50 syv: Not as good as a torrent, but those are difficult to use.
06:29:14 MidJag: Also, dorm wifi, so torrents are gonna be weird
06:30:36 MidJag: Alright I'm on 3
06:30:45 syv: Ep?
06:31:41 syv: I have 3, if that's what we're doing.
06:31:59 MidJag: ER?
06:32:15 ER: don't have them downloaded
06:32:34 ER: feel free to watch without me, that'll still be entertaining for me :P
06:32:59 syv: ...
06:33:15 MidJag: ....Okay do we want to just try this again Friday?
06:33:45 syv: That would be wise if you actually want to watch something which all of us are interested in and can watch.
06:34:22 syv: I think we would also need to select something. Should I make a decision for you, or are we going with one of the aforementioned shows?
06:34:25 MidJag: lets do that, I do like CB but I think it'll be better if we are all actully here.
06:38:48 MidJag: as dor the shows. I don't love final space, but could watch it, 3d CW is a long but very good series, that gets better the further you go back, so not really good for us.
06:39:21 MidJag: 2D star Wars I and ER like, but I'm not sure Dev like, and we know syv dislikes.
06:40:13 MidJag: So maybe we should go with like the first 2 or 3 episodes of final space. and then the rest be CB if it turns out we all hate FS?
06:42:20 MidJag: thoughts?
06:42:42 ER: I'm tired
06:44:37 syv: ^
06:45:51 MidJag: ^
06:50:08 MidJag: Good plan gents
06:50:36 MidJag: LEt's do what we always do and figure this out last minute on friday
06:53:18 MidJag: and on that note good night
06:53:25 MidJag has left #einsteinianroulette
06:55:52 syv: We usually don't do that, actually.
06:56:09 syv sighs
06:56:11 syv has quit [Quit: Definitely a psyv.]
06:56:30 ER: yup
06:57:01 ER: too tired to finish deltarune tonight, no matter how much it facinates me...
06:57:31 ER: need to rest this body so that I still have it for doing things later.
