02:22:21 ER: the point of complaining about not having an inventory is that I don't KNOW if I have my shotgun or not
02:22:37 ER: yup, I made that decision a long time ago
02:23:06 syv: *doesn't have it, in case I still omitted that
02:23:49 ER: Sophia doesn't have a totem manipulation listed, either. Despite that being listed in my initial sheet and my powers adding up to 9 levels without it
02:25:26 syv: My mistake. I've always treated her as having TM1.
02:25:55 ER: good, that means I didn't spend more energy than nessesary like a year ago
02:26:35 syv: Well, you still spent 100% of your soul regardless, then got it partially charged back.
02:28:04 ER: guess I should have actually read how mind control cost works before using it...
02:28:18 ER: not that not using it would have helped much...
02:29:11 ER: Things working out in the end usually means that you just got really lucky. :v
02:30:00 ER: guilting the GM into granting you extraordanary luck is still luck~ :v :v :v :V
02:30:12 syv: You really only got lucky in that I was willing to reset you one turn. Everything else, well, "lucky" would imply the situation wasn't working against you.
02:30:36 syv: There's a reason I gave you such a hig payoff for the risk.
02:30:58 syv: And it's not *just* because that's how the cosmology works.
02:31:02 ER: retroactive fork is best power
02:32:20 syv: Problem with fork is that you have to know that what you're about to do is an important turning point. And if it's a primary, both results might be bad because it doesn't actually help you. But yes, powerful.
02:33:12 ER: no, fork basically replaces prediction I guess
02:33:28 syv: That's a pity. I like prediction.
02:35:54 ER: in fact things are basically the same with that class except with technopathy in place of determination and fork in place of prediction.
02:36:03 ER: And stasis being passive I guess.
02:38:21 ER: I haven't written it, but I'm pretty sure it's just going to be unlimited hammerspace for anything you can carry
02:39:12 ER: that you can, you know, drop warehouses full of c4 on things
02:39:38 ER: (though that's obviously harder in a post-apoc setting)
02:42:03 ER: though it might come in handy with the bullshit magic technology in the city. Hmm.
02:42:22 syv: Stasis is capacity softcapped so that an Innocent can't just to break into a single military warehouse to get a functionally infinite supply of bombs and guns for everyone.
02:43:13 ER: despite that basically being canon for PM3? :P
02:43:47 syv: Bacon eggs dogs is *also* canon.
02:44:06 ER: bacon eggs dogs bacon eggs dogs
02:45:20 syv: I should play that game at some point.
02:45:49 syv: "Me kill you in a nowhere Me kill you all alone Me kill you in the face For my Nuclear Throne"
02:46:11 ER: yes, it's canon that a suffecently powerful pink jesus can arbatrarially remake the world to be even stranger, with its own unforseen conseqences. And that's basically where I figure the universe of refine comes from.
02:46:45 ER: and infinite series of universes made by someone trying to fix things once and for all, but only making things worse.
02:47:00 syv: I like that plot betted than the actual canon plot of Rebellion ;0
02:47:18 ER: Nuclear Throne is fun. It's not the most fun, but it's easy enough to come back to
02:49:55 syv: Well, now I have it. Thanks, software theft!
02:55:02 ER: Chicken used to be the most fun and OP character, but they changed her ;-;
02:56:17 ER: she starts with a sword and her right click used to slow down time. but they made it throw your weapon instead, which is basically always going to be worse than just shooting a strong gun, which you can pick up easy.
03:10:19 syv: Why do enemies drop nerf darts?
03:53:52 ER: honestly, it wasn't much of an easy desision which power to take from Isabella's Mercy bag
03:54:19 ER: but Triage seemed like the best mixture of helpful and fun
03:54:49 ER: assuming that Asha dies and I need to be a healer in the main group, which seems likely.
04:31:56 syv: It's guaranteed if Nak doesn't come back. Maybe even if they do.
04:32:25 ER: yes, that's IC-code for "I don't think nakeen is coming back"
04:33:15 syv: Nuclear Throne is fun, but also kinda bullshit.
04:34:08 syv: Some mutations are WAY too good, and enemies are... well, too many of them are pretty much just "Kill them immediately before they can move".
04:34:39 ER: as in, killing them immediately is the right move, or as in they kill you immediately?
04:35:52 syv: And the random events seem unbalanced. I died because the robot boss spawned on me within seconds of starting the level, and THEN cops spawned on top of me too.
04:36:24 syv: So I had nowhere to go, and a ton of strong enemies right on top of me.
04:37:23 ER: Big Dog used to be more bullshit
04:37:35 ER: ...I hope you aren't playing an old version
04:37:45 ER: if you are, play as chicken :V
04:38:45 syv: Was the old version harder? Time slowing sounds fun.
04:39:27 ER: I've never beaten the final boss myself
